In a broad slap at the the uncompromising stands of conservative Sens. Ted Cruz, Rand Paul and Mike Lee, the liberal Brookings Institution's top political scholar charged this week that the Tea Party trio are leading the Republican Party to disaster and minority status.
Thomas Mann said that their stubborn style of politics that's been rapped even by some mainstream Republicans, notably the self-styled "maverick" Sen. John McCain, will lead to a voter revolt that will elect more Democrats to the House and Senate, the presidency, and eventually have the remaining GOP members begging to do business with Democrats.
[Snip]
[T]he solution to fixing Washington has only two routes: "Either a dominant one-party, Democratic system to get something done," he said, or a "situation where the Republican Party returns to its sanity and to a position of problem solving."

So the answer according to Brookings is, a Democrat controlled dictatorship or the Republican party selling out to a Democrat controlled dictatorship.
Got it.

If the Brookings Institute really believed this they would be jumping for joy and cheering them on, not warning against them. This just tells me that Brookings is worried about them.

For the Brookings Institute, the only good Republican is a Lincoln Chaffee Republican.
...wait, he's doing what today?

Right, like Goldwater and Reagan “killed the GOP” while Gerald Ford, the George Bushes, Bob Dole, John McCain and Mitt Romney just breathed new life into the GOP!

Yeah, didn’t many on the left cross over and vote in our primary to put that goof ball in as our nominee? I believe they did.

The GOP has one foot in the grave already. Cruz, Paul and Lee have the potential to give birth to something new and productive.
BTW - did anyone notice that Rubio was not included in the libtard concerns? He seems to slipping into the beltway cadre quickly and enjoying the company of McCain and Schumer.

HAHA! Senators Ted Cruz, Mike Lee, and Rand Paul will save the country. The republican party needs a good cleansing for it's very survival. Those dedicated followers are the only thing (glue) that's holding it together. Though.. for not much longer. I have not donated (nor my spouse) to the actual party since Palin was on the ticket. I sent money to individual candidates’ campaigns. Now, the media decides to take out the few Tea Party people, my my! Did the story include Marco.

Maybe its time for the GOP to realize...Maybe it is time for conservatives to realize that there is no future with or in the Republican Party.

My first thought was “is that a promise?” The GOP as it currently stands could use killing (metaphorically speaking).
