GRAPEVINE, TX - Family Research Council (FRC) expressed deep disappointment at the Boy Scouts of America (BSA) for changing their long-standing position today on membership regarding open homosexuality within the Scouts.
Family Research Council President Tony Perkins made the following comments:
"Sadly, the Boy Scouts' legacy of producing great leaders has become yet another casualty of moral compromise. Unfortunately, Boy Scout delegates capitulated to strong-arm tactics and abandoned the timeless values that have served the organization well for more than 100 years.
"The delegates succumbed to a concerted and manipulative effort by the national BSA leadership despite the BSA's own survey showing 61 percent of its members in opposition to changing the policy.

I just sent the BSA National Headquarters an email, telling them that the BSA is dead to me.
The homos will throw some money at them, with strings attached, but the national leadership of the BSA has shown to all of us that they are immoral whores of the perverts.
The BSA will disappear in ten years.
I was a boy scout. If today’s policy was in effect then, my parents would not want me nor would I want to be in an organization which catered to openly homo fags. I don’t recall any discussions of sex during my days there and don’t think it should be part of the Boy Scout mission to promote divient behavior. I guess today they will start giving merit badges but limits of decency prevents me from saying here what those badges will be for.
Boy Scouting’s professional staff generates a cost of just over $5 million per year for retirement costs. Assuming that’s 8% of salaries, you’re talking about $55 million per year for salaries. http://www.scouting.org/filestore/about/AnnualReports/pdf/2011_TreasurerReport.pdf ~ which would be, at $12 per hour, a going rate for custodial caretakers these days, yields a maximum of 2200 paid staff people. The annual report says there are 1.2 million volunteers. The gay decision benefits no one but the paid staff and a couple of big donors who have already whacked the amount they contribute. Driving off any percentage of the volunteers will destroy the organization.
This is very sad. As a result of this decision, I will see to it that none of my Grandsons will become scouts as I did. I know that their parents will agree with me on this.
Let’s say the organization has already lost 25% of the 1.2 million volunteers ~ ......... ~ how many more can they lose. There are only, at most 2200 full time professionals (many of whom double up running scout camps in the summer). I don’t think the homosexuals who forced this are able to come up with the amount of money needed to replace even a small fraction of the volunteers.
If the poll of rank and file members of the Boy Scouts wanted to still maintain the ban, but a “board of directors” caved into the political pressure and voted to allow the homosexuals in, why can’t the entire board be voted out and replaced, and the old policy reinstated. Probably what pisses me off about it more than anything is how the voting members, most of who have nothing at all to do with scouting called the shots and ignored what the majority of scouts and scouting families wanted.
The will of the people should always prevail and the Boy Scout leadership told the people to go straight to hell. It’s also time for Wayne Perry, the Morman director of the Scouts, who strongarmed everyone involved to be fired. You can also bet your bottom dollar he was behind the Morman Church’s willingness to allow sodomites in the ranks.
What a splendid gift to the sodomites . . . and may the BSA go to hell!

The Boy Scouts are made up of middle class American kids and families. This really isn't about homosexuals wanting to be part of the Boy Scouts, this is about the homosexuals burning quest to demolish anything or any organization that sits as a contrast to their own wicked behavior.
Interest and participation in the Boy Scouts will now slowly but steadily decline. Ultimately, the Boy Scouts will become just a shell of themselves, but the homosexuals have achieved their task. They have destroyed what was standing in contrast to their own ugly practice.
This is a great opportunity for people of Christian faith to fill a vacuum. The BSA had a good run, but compromised its foundation. It is time to start anew.
This vote is just like the Munich Accord. The BSA leadership has given the homosexual groups the Sudetenland hoping it will cause the homosexuals to leave them alone.
It will not work. It will only cause the homosexuals to demand more.
The BSA leadership has sacrificed principle for peace. They will get neither.
Took my grandson out last evening. I wasn’t the only parent who arrived at the meeting to turn in their “resignation” last night.
Today I plan to e-mail the Scouts and explain. There is no way that they can allow openly gay boys and not have activist gay “parents” who push their agenda. I want to be the one that decides what my grandson learns with regard to gender relationships. I chose Scouts because they have in the past offered wonderful models for manhood. Just very sad.
We can see how this is working out for our Military - man on man rape up sharply. But, truly, how many jr.high/high school boys are gay? How many of them are victims of pedophiles? If the local Boy Scout troops change nothing about the program and hold everyone to the same high standards, this may not be a big deal. Was there any edicts about who can be a BS leader? What about the girls who claim to be boys in their hearts? So, it’s up to the individual troops to hold strong on their moral compass and standards. If they let down, then it will go down the chute, probably in a lot less than 10 years.
It’s all about the CHAOS, y’know.
This is just as sad as the Girl Scouts association with abortion now through Komen and Planned Parenthood.
The Boy Scouts, as you note, survive on volunteer leaders at the local level. If these men in the community decide to leave the organization, there is no "Boy Scouts" regardless of what the national office does. And that, in the end, is the real purpose of this whole hearted assault on a patriotic and inherently conservative organization.
Buckling under to this perversion now re-defines the entire BSA for what it is... yellow-bellied cowards. That’s what the Scouting uniform now stands for: cowardice and sodomy. The Boy Scouts are a disgrace to not only their century-old heritage, but a disgrace to God and country.
Burn in hell, BSA. Burn in the darkest corner of hell, you disgusting cowards. I truly spit on you!
I hope BSA quickly reverses this decision or is destroyed by mass defections, but I think both are unlikely. Most scouts will probably compromise and refuse to stand for morality, even though they’ve pledged to be morally straight. Openly homosexual scouts, aka homosexual advocates, will be allowed to join and proselytize—so long as they don’t have sex with other scouts of course.
I’d love to be proven wrong! I’d like to believe most or a significant number of scouts will stand on principle and walk away from the BSA. I just don’t think it’s going to happen.
BTW, this particular policy change is NOT an end in itself. It’s just a wedge driven into the BSA which will be used to lever the organization into full acceptance of sexual deviants, including as scout leaders. It may take a bit more time, but that’s where the BSA is heading.

BSA National Director Wayne Perry, who said just two months ago.
“I believe that homosexuality is morally wrong,” he said last Friday, during a conference call to local BSA council leaders. Perry, a Mormon, spent the call explaining how the proposed policy change came about, but didn’t take questions from council leaders or media”.
This SOB just sold the BSA down the river. He let boys in the ranks that he feels are immoral. What sorry POS this character is.
