Rhode Island Democratic Sen. Sheldon Whitehouse has apologized for remarks Monday in which he linked Oklahoma "cyclones" to climate change while berating Republicans for their stance on the issue -- around the time a massive tornado killed dozens in that state.
. . .
During Whitehouses 15-minute speech, he criticized Republicans who dispute the concept of climate change while seeking federal assistance following disasters.

His apology was today. His rant on global warming was while school children drowning in OK. This guy is frickin' evil.
I may come off sometimes as being insensitive and I perhaps I swear like a drunken sailor, but I was on my knees praying yesterday as I was choking back tears watching the news.

Democrats discover storms...
Over the last five years, Democrats have awoken from what seems like a long nap. It would have to have been an awfully long nap, that would make Rumple Stiltskin’s look timid in comparison.
A famous movie from the 1930s heralded tornadoes, and what they can do. Stragely, Democrats never knew.
Now they are all a twitter about big storms. These are new to them, and now they are proof of something. Something has changed, evidently...
Well Democrats, I’m sorry, but we have had storms as long as recorded history for the plains of the American mid-west has been written.
Take an Alkaseltzer and you’ll feel better in the morning.
Sheesh! Where have these idiots been for eighty years?

From April 3 to April 4, 1974, with over 300 fatalities, there were 148 tornadoes confirmed in 13 US states, including Illinois, Indiana, Michigan, Ohio, Kentucky, Tennessee, Alabama, Mississippi, Georgia, North Carolina, Virginia, West Virginia, and New York; and the Canadian province of Ontario. It extensively damaged approximately 900 square miles (2,330 square kilometers) along a total combined path length of 2,600 miles (4,200 km).
This was still not enough to prevent President Nixon from receiving Articles of Impeachment voted against him in the US House, and him having to resign later that year, in August. Emperor Obongo and his spinning, lying talking heads trying to change the subject, had best keep this in mind.

The sad part is not that Mr Whitehouse believes this BS, the sad part is that enough voters have confidence in him to put him in office....
