Twice they say is a pattern. Or a charm. And there isnt much charm in using government agencies to conduct an illegal war against the opposition.
Perhaps no other IRS official is more intimately associated with the tax agencys growing scandal than Lois Lerner, director of the IRSs Exempt Organizations Division. Since admitting the IRS harassed hundreds of conservative and Tea Party groups for over two years, Lerner has been criticized for a number of untruthsincluding the revelation that she apparently lied about planting a question at an American Bar Association conference where she first publicly acknowledged IRS misconduct.
Prior to joining the IRS, Lerners tenure as head of the Enforcement Office at the Federal Election Commission (FEC) was marked by what appears to be politically motivated harassment of conservative groups.
Lerner was appointed head of the FECs enforcement division in 1986 and stayed in that position until 2001. In the late 1990s, the FEC launched an onerous investigation of the Christian Coalition, ultimately costing the organization hundreds of thousands of dollars and countless hours in lost work. The investigation was notable because the FEC alleged that the Christian Coalition was coordinating issue advocacy expenditures with a number of candidates for office. Aside from lacking proof this was happening, it was an open question whether the FEC had the authority to bring these charges.
The FEC was targeting the Christian Coalition for its role during the Clinton Administration, including the 1992 election. It was a rather blatant attempt at taking down a non-profit speaking to the oppositions base.
And Lerners tactics at the FEC were rather similar to the IRSs current campaign.....

I agree!
Sounds like she’s the perfect one to run the IRS Soetorocare enforcement division.
I hate to say this, but I blame George Bush.
When he became President he had the opportunity to clean out the State Dept. CIA and the IRS and he did nothing.
Nice guy too nice to fire Democrats who ruined his administration.
He definitely should have cleaned up IRS and State. Instead he appoints his errand boy Secretary of State. Colon Powell who turned on Republicans like a rabid dog.
I remember those years. Often Democrats in the Congress claimed that constituents complained about this or that conservative group and the "evidence" was merely passed on to the IRS for investigation.
"Back room deals," by Bill O'Reilly February 2, 2002 on townhall.com says
What "Mr. Bush may have given the Democrats is an assurance that he will not embarrass their party by aggressively pursuing" Clinton's wrong-doings. In this case he was referring specifically to Clinton's Marc Rich pardon.
But I heard O'Reilly say more than once on his radio show (back then) that the Congressional Democrat leaders made it clear from the beginning: you touch Bill Clinton for any reason and you will get nothing through Congress.
Good for my state’s AG.
Democrats engage in criminal activity and unrelenting dedication to destroy their political enemies.
Republicans kiss their political enemies a$$es and promise to help them achieve their political objectives.

Impeachment File on Benghazi Coward B. Hussein Obama, aka Barry Soetoro, a legal citizen of the sovereign Nation of Indonesia.
She said at the end of the clip, "I AM the IRS!"
Throughout the clip you could tell that she is so full of herself it makes your head spin.
News has it that the obedient harassers of conservatives in the Internal Revenue Service got extra internal revenue, masked as bonuses.
The Christian Coalition needs to file multiple lawsuits. Against every individual involved and against the IRS as an organization.
