Tornado warnings up in Oklahoma. Watches in TX, OK, KS, MO, far NW Arkansas.
The horse farm looks like it was hit by a nuke.
I can’t imagine that very many people do. The expense must really be something. We don’t have them here very often, thank goodness. They scare me half to death.
So upset right now. Hope they find those poor babies.
Hi penelopsire. Your reports during the last event were so helpful. I have very elderly parents living on their own in SW Arlington.
Any local information you can give is appreciated so much.
God Bless.
There are tornadoes in Ft. Worth too?
Guys, come in if you’re safe!!!
Good girl.
I would, but this may not be the time to point that out. Any parents who have a child or children injured or killed have enough to cope with now without wondering if they could have prevented it.
No. Nothing yet.
They are pulling children out alive from the rubble..May the hands of God hover over these babies and keep them safe
Unfortunately if a big mile wide F5 tornado hit you square on with 200+ MPH winds, even the best built structure and the best storm shelter can only provide only so much protection. Better than most houses and certainly better than being in a trailer or in a car or out in the open, but... damn, just damn, why did it have to hit a school? And you are right, a tornado even big ones like this one, the path of destruction is not like in a hurricane, you can be on one side of the highway and only lose a few roof shingles but on the other side, the ground is scrubbed clean.
Interesting because CNN still has helo video.
About 30 mins ago I look at the live stream of the weather people with the look on their faces and even they were shocked.
All kids at school accounted for re on air reporter
Our schools are brick but so is my home. I pick the kids up early when tornadoes or even bad thunder storms are coming. So do a lot of other parents, we sign them out as weather.
The children go in the hallway and crouch down against the walls.
We use the closet, and the youngest has her softball helmet.
depending on the severity, we bring in pillows and such.
most folks don’t have bunkers.
The first responders are having trouble getting through on I-35 because people won’t get off the road and won’t quit taking pictures. Such stupidity!!
Amen.
News9 re Briarwood
That’s a very good idea. I’m guessing that emergency workers in surrounding states must be either on the way to help or preparing for it momentarily. This is a disaster.
Start shooting at em and they will leave the area. /sarc
