Jason Chaffetz raises the prospect.
Representative Jason Chaffetz, a Utah Republican, says President Barack Obama may face impeachment over his administration’s response to the Benghazi attack.
“They purposefully and willfully misled the American people, and that’s unacceptable,” Chaffetz tells me. “It’s part of a pattern of deception.”
Behind the scenes, he says, House Republicans are frustrated by the White House’s evasiveness, and the calls for impeachment will likely increase.

Impeachment is great, but it must be accompanied with REMOVAL, otherwise the 0bama regime will come back like a drug resistant germ - STRONGER. If you don't believe it, look at Bubba Klinton!

I don’t see impeachment happening between the marxist party and the go along to get along RINOs.
OTOH, people all the way from the street level to the white house need to go to prison to put some fear in them or it will continue and get worse.

Obama is irrelevant.... I would like energies focused on the mid-term elections and 2016. If they need someone to go after, they have Hillary.

The GOP would have to have supermajorities in both houses of congress to make that stick. Never happen.
1. Hillary Clinton and Obama knew immediately that the Nakoula video had nothing to do with the attack on Americans in Benghazi.
2. They sent Ambassador to the UN Susan Rice out on five Sunday news shows to lie and say that the attacks in Benghazi were caused by the Nakoula video.
3. Hillary Clinton and Obama starred in a commercial thet aired in the Middle East apologizing for the Nakoula video. This commercial was produced and aired using US taxpayer money.
Hillary and Obama can’t blame this commercial on subordinates. They are the stars of the commercial. They knew, before the commercial started filming, that the premise of the commercial was a lie. Why would Hillary and Obama so obviously tie themselves to a lie like this? They could have hired an Arab actor to try to better appeal to an Arab audience. You don’t see our President and Secretary of State making commercials for every foreign affairs problem. Why this one?

The GOP should avoid any use of the "i" word for now. Just move the investigation along, and see where it goes.
Nixon was finished when the Senate Republicans started to desert him. Obama will be finished only if Senate Democrats start to desert him.
If the Senate Democrats stick with Obama regardless of the evidence, then, as you said, impeachment would be counterproductive.
This is the problem with the GOP in a nutshell - they wouldn’t mind doing something to embarrass Obama or to make his poll numbers go down, but they lack the intelligence AND the balls to try to remove him - which is, of course, the only thing that matters.
Look at the Nixon affair. He had just been reelected with 61% of the popular vote and 520 electoral votes. If there was ever a President to be afraid of attacking, it was Nixon in 1973.
But the Democrats were methodical, they were highly organized and disciplined, they chose excellent faces (Ervin and Rodino), they never wavered, and they built their case brick by brick to fit a narrative so that, not only would Nixon’s landslide voters vanish but the country would turn around and elect the most radical leftist Congress since 1936.
Who among the Republicans can you imagine capable of pulling something like that off?
And it’s worse than that. If you shoot at the king, you’d better kill him, because there are no second chances in regicide. The diffuse, disorganized, leaderless GOP “investigations” will not only not succeed, they will lend credibility to the RAT narrative that it’s all partisan.
The ‘calls for’ might increase, but the ‘i’ will never happen. They would be painted by both the Dems and the Media as racists.
Additionally, the Chicago thugs already have the FBI records, etc. The Chicago thugs play hard ball, while the GOP plays Tiddlywinks.
He needs to go to prison for voter fraud and oppression.

I don’t want him impeached. That process just imparts a legitimacy to him that he does not have.
I want to see him removed from the White House in handcuffs and legirons, then turned over to the mob of citizens in the street who will then feed him to feral pigs.
Other than that, I’m happy.
