"what is impeachment if not prosecution"

Impeachment is a function of the House, while prosecution of impeachment is a function of the Senate. That's why Clinton was impeached, but not removed from office. The house voted to impeach him, but the Senate voted against conviction.

The whereabouts of an irrelevant president possibly is irrelevant.

I do agree. No one has the guts to fight. F&F disappeared. The GOP confirms every appointment. BO appointed the Recess Appointments a few years ago. Court ruled against them. Still in appeals and will be when BO leaves office.

"It’s time for real consequences."

And how do you propose achieving that? The Republicans lead one half of one third of the federal government. As long as the Democrats win elections, there is nothing that Republicans can do but talk.

" I don’t understand why [the Republicans] have to wait until Holder approves."

Maybe because that's the law?

I do agree that Issa seems to be all talk but nothing is getting done. nothing. Glad he’s calling hearings, assembling committees, whatever, but...WHEN IS SOMEONE GOING TO GET PUNISHED?

Do NOT underestimate the impact of litigation. Obama IRS civil rights violations are actionable. See:

Two sides of a coin. The whole process is prosecution. Semantics. A cop testifying is part of the proscecution process. It’s not just the prosecutor who takes part in the prosecution.

Well, I do agree with that. I think that it is reasonable to expect a judge to take action on this as a result of legal action.

However, I also think it is reasonable to expect that the GOP is not going to do anything of substance whatsoever, and that just flat out infuriates me to no end.

Yes, this is precisely my point.

I mean so what if Issa made a remark on a tv show that might have made some pawn uncomfortable...BFD!

What substantive action is going to occur this next week? Nothing.

Then next weekend Sunday shows will occur and ooh so and so said this or that to so and so and blah, blah, blah...

What substantive action will occur following next week’s tv shows? Nothing.

TIRED OF THIS BS!

Any government official who says ‘the law is irrelevant’ needs to be prosecuted for treason. STOP PUSSY-FOOTING AROUND WITH THESE INSURGENTS, REPUBLICANS!!! We want hard time for these people in the gray bar hotel. Eric Holder needs to go first!

Tough words on the internet don't mean squat, either.

How about he starts with demanding a special prosecutor?

Sorry, but the GOP, as it is today and has been for several years now while Boehnor and McConnell have been in charge is toothless.

All flash and no real leadership or results.

For instance, the GOP has voted against ObamaCare some 37 times, yet not once have they voted to defund it.

Get back to us when they grow a spine!

“And how do you propose achieving that? And how do you propose achieving that? “

Power of the purse. They have it. They refuse to use it. Do you also deny it? Please detail why.

This is so easy. Accuse Valerie Jarrett, Debbie Wasserman Schultz and Harry Reid of conspiring with Sarah Hall Ingraham to target conservative groups. Use Harry Reid’s comments about Mitt Romneys taxes as evidence something was amiss.

Add in that David Rhodes at CBS news knew and his brother who is in the administration told him to shut down Sheryl Atkinnson till after the election.

Even if not true, it lends credibility to Fox since the MSM has been hiding everything, it ties CBS news directly to the white house and also confirms the DNC working with the Senate Majority leader.

Game, set and match and you do not have to show any documents as proof since the perception is already there and the relationships are also there.

Exactly, SoCon.

The GOP seems all to eager to take actions that mean absolutely nothing and have no actual effect on anything, but when it comes to doing something that will get results, they are AWOL.

Tired of it, not playing this game anymore. If this is all they can muster, then they are willing accomplices to abuse of power.
