Obama Aide: 'Irrelevant Fact' Where President Was During Benghazi Attacks

Obama Aide: 'Irrelevant Fact' Where President Was During Benghazi Attacks Daniel Halper May 19, 2013 9:48 AM

Obama aide Dan Pfeiffer said it's an "irrelevant fact" where the president physically was during the Benghazi terror attack on September 11, 2012:

Host Chris Wallace reminds Pfeiffer that Obama didn't really talk with Secretary Clinton, Secretary Panetta, or Martin Dempsey, chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, that night. "He was talking to his national security staff," Pfeiffer insists.

Asked about whether the president entered the Situation Room, Pfeiffer says, "I don't remember what room the president was in on that night, and that's a largely irrelevant fact."

Pfeiffer then argues that Wallace's questions about the president's handling of the Benghazi terror attack are "offensive."

He had a big day of golf and fundraising scheduled the next day and needed his rest or he would have been grumpy and would not have had any fun.
********
A VERY likely scenario. Is there anyone who doesn’t know that campaigning is his #1 priority? It’s also his second and third priorities.

The 10 P.M. Phone Call --Clinton and Obama discussed Benghazi. What did they say?

.... ... We have heard almost nothing about what Obama was doing that night. Back in February, though,CNS News did manage to pry one grudging disclosure out of White House mendacity mogul Jay Carney: “At about 10 P.M.,the president called Secretary Clinton to get an update on the situation.”

Obviously,it is not a detail Carney was anxious to share. Indeed,it contradicted an earlier White House account that claimed the president had not spoken with Clinton or other top administration officials that night

“But the hostage takers decided to kill infidels instead when the two Seals swooped in from the annex.
*******
Very interesting insight. Good post.”

I agree. This is very plausible, and explains why the administration was so adamant about the ‘stand down’ orders. The fact that we have to even consider that our government is operating in this manner is very telling about just how far our nation has gone astray.

During the presidential debate (IIRC), Obama said he was on the phone with the Israeli PM for an hour. That was after the Benghazi attack started.

Exact time was not revealed.

Obama had a scheduled meeting with his security advisors at 5:00 Washington time. During that meeting was when news of the Benghazi attacks started.

Obama disappears.

Just this week, we ‘find out’ that Obama was on the phone with Clinton around 10:00 p.m. Washington time.

==

Sometimes it seems as if they just make up ‘facts’ as they go. Some stick. Some don’t. Some are meant for clarification. Some are intentionally revealed to muddy the waters.

Carney is still claiming that the WH only made one change to the early talkingpoints memo — changing ‘consulate’ to ‘diplomatic facility’ even after reporters confront him with some 12 known revisions. Carney has blamed those changes on the intel community, CIA, and/or some Republicans — multiple choice — take your pick. And if that doesn’t work, The WH knew nothing about Benghazi, knew nothing about the IRS, knew nothing about the AP wiretaps.

Did he, or did he not, make a decision? If he did, what was it?

Thank you. I was just researching it. A few of the names were different at the time of Benghazi. It is very interesting reading the biographies of these people. Besides the military advisors, most are radical liberals.

Isn’t someone supposed to know where the president is at all times? Isn’t the football supposed to be present at all times?

Good that Wallace pressed him. Will other talking heads also press the question? If so, this translates into a small win for keeping Benghazi at least visible.

“irrelevant fact”
Apparently, rule of law and constitution are now “irrelevant facts” to these leftists.

Hey, come on dude, do you have any idea how hard it is to sneak Reggie Love into the White House without tipping any one off.

Obama put a lot of work into setting that up and you can’t expect him to let a little disturbance in some place even less interesting than fly over country cut into his time.

Besides, how could he know this could happen so as to not be s**t faced drunk and high as a kite at the time.

And what does it matter anyway, everyone on the ground in Benghazi was white and carry the guilt of racism and colonial oppression so they deserved anyway

These press people are real dirt-bag weasels, you gotta nail 'em down!

Mr. Pfeiffer, was President Obama's eyes closed and in REM Sleep in the hours following the Benghazi terrorist attack.

Yes, we are about to run off the rails. It’s going to be an ugly trainwreck. The country will pay a huge price for its naive stupidity for putting this clown in office.
