Attorney General Eric Holder told the press on Tuesday that his Department of Justice obtained two months worth of records of telephonic communications from the Associated Press in order to identify a leak of grave importance. Holder said that, while he could not go into details, it was “not hyperbole” to say that the leak “put the American people at risk.”

Some years ago, Ricky Gervais made a stupid movie about a world in which the concept of lying was unknown and unfathomable. If someone said something, it was true. That's just the way it was.

Technically, I don’t have so much as a problem with the press getting their wanker stepped on with this one. They would tell the enemy what we are about to do if given the chance. Perhaps now they will actually report the news instead of hiding it or creating it. This could have been a shot across the bow by the communist in the white house to see how far they could test the limits with the press.
