“Lauren Cummings, police community relations specialist, said investigators have determined the gun fired accidentally through no fault of the officer.” I guess they'll be initiating a massive recall of thousands of "accidentally firing" pistols any minute now? That doesn't seem very safe, having holstered handguns discharge at random intervals.
