Good to hear from you, Gator. Same with us in Farmers Branch. It rained like a son of a gun for about the last hour, but it's finally stopped. Garland is probably getting it hard and heavy right now.
So far Granbury Texas is hardest hit...very bad from the sound of things. Now that the stuff is forming a line of storms and not super cells..the rest of night should be better going forward IMHO.
This was a BIG one, My! I’m glad you are safe. Prayers lifted up for those who were in harm’s way, lives lost, and families left homeless.
Here’s hoping he at least put his pants within arm’s reach just in case.
Has anyone heard from TexasFossil?
Someday Ill show you a monster hailstone from May Fest 95.
********************
Friend of mine was there with her husband. She was hit in the head with a hailstone about the size of a softball and had to be taken to the hospital! Luckily she wasn’t killed. Video of the hail storm there that was shown on TV just happened to include her being hit.
been talking to my friend there in Granbury. She was working on the other side of town (west side) at UPS. Never saw the big tornado, but watched many smaller ones form and go back up. They were hit with hail. Her daughter lost her windshield and had to drive home from her job without it. But my friend didn’t see any damage. She’s not looking forward to tomorrow and what she’s going to see. :-(
It is light on my end.
Prayers for those that took the brunt.
Yeah, the dark purple on the radar is going away so hopefully it’s getting better.
I let the dogs out for a few minutes to do their business but am bringing them in because the wind is picking up. I knew something was going on because this afternoon the birds were flocking around in tight clusters and some ducks were in the yard. At least one is still out there because he keeps honking. They’re never in the yard. The wildlife was just acting strange.
I thought Texas Fossil posted a thread on the storms, or pinged to it.
Good! Maybe you can get some rest now!
:-)
I got a ping from windflyer but not Texas Fossil. That’s why I was wondering.
No prob here.
Just a lot of nervous energy watching the weather radar, and a big topic of conversation.
Ahh that is right.
Texas Fossil pinged to the Billie Sol Estes story.
Funny how conservatives seem to understand natural life more than leftists...just making note of that. Glad you are ok.
You too!! Glad my fellow Texan is ok!!
New tornado warning near ennis..moving towards gun barrel city.
He pinged me to another thread earlier tonight. Haven't seen him on this thread yet.
Hitting here now..I have seen worse....no doubt.

I’ve enjoyed reading your postings throughout this thread, but haven’t been able to figure out where you might be.
Where are you located? ....(I’m NOT a stalker!)
I have a dear friend in Temple, who has a very challenged child - and I am so thankful that they weren’t hit by this!
I just heard about it a few minutes ago, and it is shocking.....hail the size of grapefruit..... homes flattened. I still cannot fathom it all.
:-)
It’s clear here tonight.
