But wasn’t that Krauthammer’s point? let OTHERS make the point that it’s like watergate. Sit back, be quiet and let the other side be consumed by the inferno.

Exactly right.

I believe you're right. But on an even broader note I might add; isn't it amazing that the GOP are STILL perceived as the mean spirited, bad guys? Krauthammer is usually is trying to make nice.

Indeed.

When your enemies are at war with each other then standing back and not reminding them of their common foe is probably the best tactic.

When the other side is destroying itself, stand back and let them do it. LOL

These evidences of corruption need to be kept in front of the people,

and then start subtly interjecting that no one is going to make moves to impeach Obama or remove Holder because of political correctness.

Rush already mentioned this today - that it is understood that “African American” politicians will not be removed from any office they occupy - it just isn’t going to happen.

Last night when I watched the panel, I actually agree with Dr. K on this.

Have investigations, the Benghazi hearing with the three whistle blowers came to mind, and the public get to see Dems making political hay while Repub trying to get the whistle blowers to tell the facts.

He may have a point in that Watergate and Iran-Contra may as well be Tea Pot Dome to today’s low-information voter.

Let Obama establish the low-bar for himself.

Spot on!! The media is just salivating for a tidal wave of overheated sky is falling responses from the Right. Kraut is right. Let the evidence pile up and tell the story. If it does, no heated rhetoric is needed. If it doesn’t, no amount of rhetoric will have any effect.

There’s an old saying in politics that when your opponant is in the process of destroying himself it’s best to stay out of the way

Good idea, but not always applicable. Sitting it out completely might give the opponant an opportunity to recover. I’d say its better to be cautious and use a light hand, keeping ready to exploit at the last possible moment.

I felt that the Wright “Damn America” revellation could have destroyed Obama had it been properly managed to achieve it’s greatest impact in early October 2008. Felt the same thing about the various Clinton sex scandals.

Conservatives need to appreciate the value of a drip drip drip scenario and restrain our impulses to charge in where angels fear to tread on this. We have a year and a half until the midterms, plenty of time to manage this in the most beneficial manner possible

What OTHERS are you referring to? The Lame Stream Media? Democrat politicians? If this hadn't been spearheaded by conservatives (both in politics and outside of politics) no one would be talking about any of these scandals today. If the families of those killed in Benghazi didn't speak out no one on the left would be remotely concerned. If the families of the SEALS killed in Afghanistan a few months after the "Bin Laden" "raid" were not airing their concerns regarding Extortion 17, who would even know about it?

Krauthammer is an idiot. There isn't anyone outside of conservatives who are spotlighting these scandals.

Right.

People, especially people who can’t rationally support their position, do not like being wrong.

When the wrong-doing of someone in their group is so egregious that tbey turn on him, it is best to back away from the fight and shine a spotlight on it.

If someone who is not of their group joins the fight, they will then have a common enemy and this is all the excuse they need to feel justified in forgiving and forgetting their differences and re-circling their wagons against the enemy.
