Flabbergasted Virginia officials have asked authorities there to look into whether the secret burial of accused marathon bomber Tamerlan Tsarnaev in a rural Muslim cemetery broke any laws but one expert says they likely have no ground to stand on.
Tsarnaevs burial at the Al-Barzakh Cemetery in Doswell, Va., sent shock waves yesterday through Caroline County, where local officials unaware of the hush-hush funeral until reporters started flooding their voicemails say they dont want the stain of his remains on their quiet community.
The brouhaha prompted the state attorney generals office to step in and review the burial, according to Floyd Thomas, chairman of the county board of supervisors.
Of all the localities, Thomas said, this is probably one of the last ones we would have thought of.
But with the death certificate and burial permit already on file and the body in a private cemetery, there was no obligation to even inform local officials, according to an expert in burial law....

This isn’t that hard to understand. The landfills here in Virginia have been accepting garbage from up north for years. Speed Bump is just more trash to be buried. There have been several attempts to open a Saudi School here in Northen Virginia. So far they have been refused....so far...
"I'm directing Sen Schumer to rename immigration reform:
'The Ariel Castro Respect and Dignity for Latinos Bill.""
"A separate amendment---'The Tamarlan Tsarneav Memorial
Amendment'---will provide government-issue pressure cookers,
fireworks, and jars of vaseline for tormented Chechneyan
immigrants seeking "asylum" from govt persecution."
At whose expense?
Are you kidding? Thirty minutes southeast of me, in Red House, Virginia, there's a compound of radical Muslims. They are known to be stockpiling arms. They've been "under surveillance" for YEARS.
Nothing will be done about those ragheads until they blow up half a county.
He should have been buried in the Boston potter’s field. I can’t imagine how this story got so out of control.
Now you want to dig him up and bury him again.
I don’t care, I live in New Jersey, put him next to Jimmy Hoffa!
It sounds like T2 ran over T1's head.
Thrown in a landfill. It’s trash.
You're exactly right.
I grew up in Lynchburg, home of Liberty University....it's a very conservative town. Or at least it used to be. The local news station, WSET, ran a poll on its website: are you upset over the Boston bomber being buried in our state? Only 54% said yes.
I made a post in the comment section which referred to him as a murdering savage, and they removed my post.
Yes he did! Hence the nickname “Speedbump”.
I believe the Uncle paid for the burial but the plot was donated. So what is the problem...it is a private cemetery. Doubt the uncle had the money to fly the body back to Chechnya.
I wonder if its possible for pilots to release their sewage tanks over this cemetery.
For goodness sake, NO conservative should try to desecrate the grave. We don't like it when the Westboro Baptist idiots try to disrupt Christian services or gravesites. Can't we just have the common decency to act like adults and, dare I say it, CHRISTIANS?
I remember visiting beautiful Claytor Lake State Park about ten years...Muslims all over the place.
Why didn’t you allow him to be buried in your state?
Oops...’ten years’ = ‘ten years ago’.
Imagine what it looks like now. I can run down the road to the Kroger in Appomattox-—a little rural town——and see several there, at any time.
The site says:
"The Virtual Flowers feature has been turned off for this memorial because it was being continually misused"
I am not making this up.
Rut's Hut could use an attraction. Maybe Fat Mike's could invent another Garbage Can.
I'd rather not...it was a very pretty park. We would drive up from Tennessee just to go swimming there...
