The top-ranking Republican on the Senate Armed Services Committee said President Barack Obama could possibly be impeached over what happened in Benghazi.
Sen. James Inhofe (R-Okla.) said in a radio interview Thursday that “of all the great cover-ups in history” — including the Pentagon papers, Iran-Contra and Watergate — Benghazi “is going to go down as most serious, most egregious cover-up in American history.”
“We may be starting to use the I-word before too long,” Inhofe said on the Las Vegas-based “Rusty Humphries Show.”
“The I-word meaning impeachment?” Humphries asked.
“Yeah,” Inhofe confirmed.
When Humphries questioned the likelihood of impeachment, Inhofe said it wouldn’t be immediate.....

Help never came. With the words “stand down” Obama abandoned the ambassador and the Seals and the CIA people. A rescue attempt was called for. Obama and Hillary left them to die.
Obama could have killed the ambassador himself, and not be impeached.

They’ll all have something to say that’s “safe”...this will then keep their phones and e-mails empty of the peoples demanding action.
We’ve been down this road many times before...so I won’t buy what any of them say til I see something actually taking place.
Besides that...any impeachment will simply be stalled until Obama is done with his term...then he’ll retreat abroad to outstretched arms willing to make him king.

***Not really. That coverup was Certifigate. Obama will skate on Benghazi just like Nixon skated on “Checkers”. Maybe history will catch up to him, maybe it won’t. But with a complicit media, the chances are very slim. Nixon had an adversarial media.

Speaking of eligibility, does anyone know anything about Carl Gallups? On his radio show he said that Benghazigate has blown Sheriff Joe’s investiation wide open. He was basing that on a conversation with Mike Zullo.

Objectors will complain about two comparisons:
Watergate and WMD.
Watergate: But, IIRC, it was never demonstrated that Nixon knew in advance of the Watergate burglary, only that days afterward he became aware and subsequently refused to come forward with the info he became aware of. His “cover-up was passive (though inexcusable).
WMD: “Bush Lied” is what they say, but whose lie was it? Bill Clinton, Al Gore AND HILLARY CLINTON all claimed that Saddam had, and was actively developing WMD, BEFORE Bush became President.
