PORT ANGELES, Wash. -- Witnesses say a man upset with his neighbors went on a rampage with a bulldozer-like piece of logging machinery in a Port Angeles neighborhood, damaging four homes and knocking out power to thousands of people.
The Clallam County Sheriff's Office says it does not appear that anyone was injured during the incident that happened just after noon Friday along Pioneer Road. The suspect was arrested.
"A person with a piece of heavy equipment that was very upset, struck (four) homes in the area and also a truck," said Jim Borte with the Clallam County Sheriff's Department.
Keith Haynes lives near one of the damaged homes and told the Peninsula Daily News the man took a piece of logging equipment called a skidder and "just went nuts."
Haynes said a woman inside one of the homes escaped unharmed, and the other home was unoccupied. Haynes said the houses were demolished.
Haynes said a new Ford truck also was damaged in the incident.
It was like a war zone, Haynes, a former law enforcement officer who has lived in that neighborhood for two years, told the paper.

7 quarts of petrol?
Tracked skidder. They come in different sizes and shapes.
True. But thats a dozer in the pic. Look at the blade. Granted, Dozers are used/rigged to skid too. But that’s a dozer.
-— so he hooked up his truck and dragged it up and down the highway until it was literally shredded.....lol. ——
Thanks for brightening my day.
7 liters to be consistent.
This reminds me of a Family Guy episode, except it was a tank..never piss off a dude with heavy machinery
A little bondo....awesome bumper guard on front—not a scratch on it!
This jerk made his living in doing low end logging jobs. Most of his equipment is junk.
FWIW, this happened about 4 miles from my house and I have known this meth freak for decades.
LOL..I love that story too! He left the shredded car in the bar parking lot..drove to the police station to turn himself in and the cops sent him home...lol. They did not do a thing to him...small town.
Lucky you ;)
We had a couple like that back in the Adirondacks before the Enviros put 99% of every logging business OUT of business.
>>Now THAT was a fun movie back then - I have it somewhere<<
Why buy it? I guess you can LIVE it!
(I loved it too — D9 is NOT to mess around with!)
Surrenity now! Surrenity now!
Tanks are tough to get but the local rental yard can fix you up with a 890 that will wipe out a city block!
One more thing. I might wait a few days and call his lawyer to see if I can get a steal of a deal for that machine. I’d have fun with it on my property and then quick sell it. If I get it, I’ll take better pics and post ‘em.
I love playing in the dirt. ;>)
lol
