Why would he have an “off the record” meeting with reporters? Off the record means they can't report it. That makes no sense. What is his operation with this? If there are any decent reporters in there, and he said leak the info., that reporter would blow the whistle on that - thinking of a Fox reporter.

I wonder if the POTUS is going to have Carney through a body to the lions. For Obama to protect himself, he has to give the media their villain.

Obama can't make Hillary the fall guy. The Clinton's won't stand for it. She's loyal to herself. She'll turn on Obama in obnoxious fashion, looking like a patriotic American in the process. Hillary would become a whistle blower.

For Obama to blame someone, they have to be either in on it, or powerless to defend themselves with help from the media.
