In Context: Hillary Clinton's 'What difference does it make' comment
politifact ^ | 5/7/13 | Hillary Clinton

Posted on 05/08/2013 9:55:13 AM PDT by SoFloFreeper

A few days before the hearing, it was disclosed that a top U.S. diplomat had said "everyone" at the consulate thought "from the beginning" that the attack was an act of terror.

And even before that, Johnson had reminded citizens at least twice of what Clinton told him about the attack during a Senate committee hearing in January 2013.

"Was it because of a protest or was it because of guys out for a walk one night and decided they’d go kill some Americans," Clinton said. "What difference – at this point, what difference does it make?"

So that was the punch-line quote. But what was the context?

With Benghazi back in the news and renewed attention being paid to Clinton's comment, we thought this would be a good time for In Context, an occasional feature that gives context to statements that get widespread notice...

...and the politifact media mavens, EVER eager to help Hitlery, give a transcript.

I have read the transcript...and you know what? She doesn't sound any better.

The "context" the media seems to be attempting to use to help Hitlery is the notion that she was soooo upset about the death of our American agents that NOTHING about the facts of the case were important at the time...instead, the supposedly CARING Hitlery is attempting to assist the hurting people....and worry about the facts of the case at another time.

Bottom line: this is the first salvo by the media (a media that, by the way, never really does give a damn about the context of what Republican or conservative politicians say--see Rush Limbaugh or Ann Coulter) in order to help Hitlery's campaign.

I can put it in CONTEXT:

“I can’t recall.” “I don’t think you’d be able to substantiate that.”

“I made a totally innocent stock investment which happened to return my investment 1000 fold - no the fact that the broker’s biggest client at the time was Tyson Foods...nope, no coincidence here.”

Feigned indignance and BS blather in the face of substantive questioning is just a refuge of scoundrels.

This bitch is as guilty as a freight train is long on the open SW run from Texas to California....

The worst interpretation you can give the phrase, is: “Who cares? A few more bodies scattered around doesn’t make any difference to me.”

And the best interpretation is: “Who cares? They’re dead. It happened long ago. They can’t be saved now. So, just forget it. Move on.”

When you know the law, pound the law.

When you know the facts, pound the facts.

When you don't know either and don't know what to do, pound the table.

The press bought her bullshit.

I read the transcript and thought it didn’t change the context at all. She’s so busy caring about the Americans that she didn’t bother to find out why the attacks happened...cause, you know, there could be more attacks, right? That makes a huge difference, right? That is, if you’re really concerned about protecting Americans. Otherwise, you’d just pull some bureaucratic CYA and...ohhhhh. Never mind.

Actually what difference *does* it make? It’s not like anything is going to happen to her or the Kenyan. We no longer have a GOP but a RINO party, so even if they had her on HD video tape screaming “STAND DOWN! I WANT NO HELP GIVEN TO THE AMBASSADOR!” nothing is going to happen. The RINOs will keep on acting like the lap dogs they are.

The American media. May they burn in hell.

There are four people who were at the consulate when the attack began, but they can't tell us what happened prior to the attack, because they are dead! On the other hand, there are about 28 LIVING people who COULD tell us what happened prior to the attack, but they can't tell us about it because they are being forced to remain silent!

Yes, they put the woman who was proclaimed to be “the smartest woman in the world” on the stand - and suddenly she was the most forgetful woman in the world who didn’t know anything, wasn’t responsible for anything, had no authority, no memory, and no credibility.

Hopefully the Hildebeast is about to learn what difference it makes. What a callous attitude she has displayed!

Who proclaimed her to be the smartest woman in the world? That’s an insult to the women of the world.

It was probably the same people who say Carter is our most trusted politician.

It depends upon what your definition of “is” is.

Bill Clinton was basically claiming that his statement “There is no relationship” was true because he wasn’t actually receiving oral gratification right then and there.

This reminds me of the MSM attempts to provide “context” for Obama’s “you didn’t build that” statement.
