If ponies rode men and grass ate cows,
And cats were chased into holes by the mouse
If summer were spring and the other way round,
Then all the world would be upside down.
Once in a long while, an event evokes one of my favorite historical images: the British Army band, at Lord Cornwallis surrender at Yorktown which sealed the Americans revolutionary victory, playing The World Turned Upside Down.
In this case, the event is the dramatic change over the past two weeks in the mainstream medias coverage of President Obama.
From reporters to opinion writers, from newspapers to television, after a mere four and a half years of economic fecklessness, foreign policy failure, unseemly narcissism, and a Nobel Prize for deeds to be named later, prominent liberal-leaning pundits and organizations may have finally realized that reality, if not journalistic ethics, demands a more clear-eyed look at the president they have been so deeply invested in.
Or maybe theyve just noticed that their fawning and sycophancy has meant declining circulation and viewership.
But whatever the reason, the dominant establishment mass medias turn is as remarkable as it is welcome.
The first major crack in the dike may have come from New York Times opinion columnist Maureen Dowd in an April 20 piece entitled No Bully in the Pulpit in which she bemoans President Obamas inability to pass restrictions on gun rights. It is not the liberal writers anger over the outcome that is surprising; it is that instead of the usual its all the Republicans fault meme, she lays the blame directly at the feet of the previously Teflon-coated president....

Nah, the liberal press is all mealy-mouthed. They may make a few half-hearted jabs at Obama but in no time will circle the wagons around him. When push comes to shove, they won’t want to give the Republicans any traction.
As are all self-respecting, (or self-hating) leftists.
It’s been brewing for a week and a half now.
Tomorrow, Hillary’s future political aspirations will expire.
In the days that follow, you will see an oft replayed scene.
Throughout history, we’ve seen Santan’s servents prevail for a while...and then...they fall...in very grand ways.
Nah, the liberal press is all mealy-mouthed. They may make a few half-hearted jabs at Obama but in no time will circle the wagons around him. When push comes to shove, they wont want to give the Republicans any traction.
We won’t hold our breath together for this one.
They will call him out on the most egregious acts...but will only deep the knife in enough to draw a little blood to show how "balanced" they are...
In the end this will be like Waco...all hat and not cattle..
I think the MSM is so in the moral gutter that if they become more critical of Obama it won’t be because they’ve figured him out. The only thing that will turn those propagandist and low lifes to report more accurately will be that Obama’s true nature has become so apparent to everyone that the MSM must turn on him to salvage what little credibility they might have left.
It would strictly be an act of self-preservation. They certainly have no personal or professional ethical standards that would cause them to report more accurately.
Aye Aye...follow the money!!

Given Ø's electoral lameness and the Enemedia's whorishness, if the dam breaks on this we might .. MIGHT .. see the latter turn on the halfrican bastard should his 'capital' begin to plummet.
How supremely entertaining it would be to see the maggots eating each other alive ! !
won't be holding my breath, but . . .
There is Someone more powerful than Obama, the democRATS & mainstream media.
I pray every night for that miracle. There IS power in prayer. If we all join in and pray for that miracle - maybe our Heavenly Father will answer our prayers.
The MSM Praetorian Guard media is turning on Obastard because he is NOT leftist enough for them. Obastard was to be the second coming of Stalin but that has been a dismal failure as far as they are concerned.
I don’t think the undeniable turn we are witnessing has anything to do with Obama, or Hillary, or even Benghazi.
Though the disappointment in Obama is palpable, as in Maureen Dowd’s column, I sense the fourth estate is afraid for liberalism itself.
Their world is crashing all around them, Obamacare, Benghazi, Boston, gun control, the debt, the economy, the Gosnell trial. They’re beginning to see that liberalism will (rightly) be blamed for it all.
Liberalism always looked great on a bumper sticker, and now it’s been put into practice. The social trappings are disappearing-the feeling that their beliefs were superior to ours, the perch of moral high-ground they’ve occupied. Poof! It’s gone. My lib friends don’t want to talk politics anymore. Liberalism is being defeated before their eyes, not by elections, but by events. And it’s the accumulation of events that may have caused a catharsis, a turning point.
The loss of power is what they fear, what they see coming, and that’s personal for each and every one of them.
Let us hope so.
No.
Never.
Won’t happen.
They’re all brainwashed ideologues. North Koreans are more open minded.
We are living in a Mediacracy. There is no way the Mediacrats are going to desert their leader. They are all in on this one and will probably win.
Until we are willing to out Alinsky the Alinskyites, the destruction of America will continue.
The so called “media” has invested waaaaaaaay to much into this A-hole to ever go against him.
It would mean that they were wrong, that their beliefs were wrong.
The “media” would go down swinging for him ... till the bitter end.
There is a confluence of events gathering around Obama. So many now that it is hard for anyone to ignore. The liberal media can see it but they want to protect themselves from ridicule and will continue to make excuses for Obama. JMHO
The press is DNC first and foremost.
When something happens they can’t control, they’ll flail about for a bit until they get the spin figured out. It never takes long.
They won’t turn on O until his masters and theirs have decided its time for him to go. He is our pantomime president, and the Potemkin Press is a hive. They are only free and frank when they are confused and in disarray.
