Israel, obviously, must do everything necessary to protect itself, a top United States Army Lieutenant Colonel told Arutz Sheva in an exclusive interview.
For Washington, Iranian nuclear weapons are a strategic question. For Israel, Iranian nuclear weapons are an existential question, said Ralph Peters, who spent ten years in Germany working in military intelligence and later became a Foreign Area Officer, specializing in the Soviet Union.
.....
My fear is that strategic circumstances will force Israel to act unilaterally and as brave and as capable as the IDF is, the IDF has the ability to start a fight with Iran. It does not have the ability to finish it, Peters told Arutz Sheva, speaking about the ever-growing threat of Iran obtaining nuclear weapons.

Reflecting on Americas role in the Middle East, the retired lieutenant colonel said that Obamas charm didnt work.
The president, he said, came to office with a messianic sense that he would be able to resolve the Mideast conflict. Upon taking office, however, Obama realized that the situation did not coincide with his previous beliefs.
Peters said that he does not believe that Obama has the strategic depth, background, or vital instincts of insight to really grasp the complexity of what is going on in the Middle East right now.
When you dont understand what a fight is about- stay out of it, he said, commenting on the Syrian crisis. He said that while American may have been able to get involved in the early stages of the conflict, at this point it is too late.
We should stand back and watch and wait, he said, adding that the situation is so Multi-faceted and so complex.
The consequences of getting it wrong, he said, have the ability to reverberate for generations.

Obama's depth is very shallow.
Odd, I don't see them on the excerpt list.
What does anyone expect. Only 8 years after Muslims destroyed the World Trace Center half of America voted for candidate named “Hussein”.
Stupidity on steroids.
Which begs the question: why hasn't he changed his approach? TO ANYTHING?
Reality dictates he adapt an approach more in line with previous administrations. More conservative administrations (as every previous one is).
But he will not - he's too ideological and he's just not smart enough.
Just look at the mess Carter left us. We’ll be paying for his stupidity for decades to come.
>> ...the IDF has the ability to start a fight with Iran. It does not have the ability to finish it...
With all due respect to Mr. Peters, I wouldn’t bet against Israel and their IDF.
They have Jehovah Nissi as their Sword and Shield.
>>Peters said that he does not believe that Obama has the strategic depth, background, or vital instincts of insight to really grasp the complexity of what is going on in the Middle East right now.<<
obozo doesn’t have the strategic depth, background, or vital instincts of insight to grasp anything more complex than his own Johnson.
Helping topple Assad (not helping set up anyone else, just making sure he can’t make mud out of sand anymore) is an excellent strategic step towards winning the war against crazy moose limbs. This deprives Iran of a key ally. The air raids were thus a great opening move, in addition to wrecking some chemical weapons.
He can grab someone else’s johnson.
Then peace may prevail there for a century or a half or so.
Anything else will not be an improvement
Remember the Iran/Iraq war? It shifted now and then from one side to the other... but it was stalemated by Saddams superior forces (relatively) against waves and waves... and waves of Iranian children sent to their deaths. Imagine Israel dealing with that...
Or his shallow is very deep... almost endless.

Yes, it will
This is not due to stupidity. 0bama’s decisions are deliberate, calculated actions meant to establish a Mideast Caliphate.
Obama has no depth. At 1-10 on the Life As We Know It scale, Obama has reached a new low: -199. He is insignificant. He is stupid. He is not even aware enough to realize that his only fan in the Club of Idiot POTUS, is himself.
Wrong. His decisions do not come from him. They come from the Puppetmaster who is pulling his strings.
The Puppetmaster is whoever has the most Hush-Money. His sexual proclivities need to be “managed,” and as long as he is in the White House, he has a “manager.” There are other managers who tell him what to do and when for any situation.
And the MSM is GUILTY of propagating the lies he spews. The Puppetmasters? Well, they won’t be found admitting anything, any time soon.
0bama’s puppetmasters are Soros and the Saudi’s. His control or “manager” is Valerie Jarrett.
What chills me is that Peters is right on the mark. We are led by a fool, I migth even say a holy fool, because he believes in the purity of his opinions, and is convinced in his heart that he is right.
