“...but Flake said that is not his concern.”
Of course it isn’t. Just like all the rest, D’s and R’s, his concern is getting reelected.

Please don't mention Jeff 'Flake' and Ted Cruz in the same sentence.
"So, @beyonce and Jay-Z are in Cuba? Fine by me. Every American should have the right to travel there." - Jeff Flake
Tweet Would Jeff Flake also same the same thing about these others??...

“...he noted on his Facebook page that his poll numbers after voting no on Toomey/Manchin put him somewhere south of pond scum.
Does anyone actually believe that poll numbers that bad because of his Manchin-Toomey vite are accurate? Did they poll democrats exclusively? I’m amazed that Flake would believe them.

“Those issues are not even related.”
I thought the same thing (I thought he meant that terrible bill that passed the House mandating that businesses collect sales taxes for states in which they do not do business), but read the article, and he meant a provision in Manchin-Toomey regarding application of the law to private transactions that were advertised on the Internet (whether on social media or via e-mail).
He’s still a sell-out, though.

Flake is a political prostitute. He has already advertised his rates. He has no principles. Just a stated price for his vote. Too bad the people he misrepresents can't get this flake out of office.

“What part of the word “no” is so difficult to understand?”
Exactly. And again, these clowns do not get “shall not be infringed” either. You can probably count on one hand the number that actually take the oath they took to heart.

He said under the measure as written, if a gun owner sends a few friends a text or email asking if they want to buy their gun, or posts it on their Facebook page, that is considered a commercial sale. So you take out a couple of the really nasty bits of this law and you can swallow the rest of the unconstitutional parts of it? There is no clean end of this turd to pick up.

Senator Flake didn’t take long to live up to his name (definition - small flat piece: a small flat piece or small part of a layer broken or detached from a larger object). He flaked away from the conservative base and from his integrity faster that Lindsey Graham says “yes” when invited to a turkish bath. He joined the Gang of Eight within days of being sworn into his office (if not before he was sworn in—he may have sold his soul at “freshmen orientation”).
And I contributed to his campaign—NEVER again.
Someone up thread said that his name should not be spoken in the same breath as that of Ted Cruz. I agree—they are in totally different leagues. Flake is a midget. Ted Cruz is quickly proving himself to be a giant.

The Constitution’s Article V details the way amendments are added or changed. This isn’t one of them.
