In December 2012 Barack Obama promised “there will be consequences” if the regime of Bashar Al-Assad in Syria used chemical weapons.
“The world is watching.”

But that was before reformer Assad used chemical weapons on his own people.
The latest line at the White House is, “If he drops sarin on his own people, what’s that got to do with us?”
The New York Times reported:
Mr. Obama’s advisers also raised legal issues. “How can we attack another country unless it’s in self-defense and with no Security Council resolution?” another official said, referring to United Nations authorization. “If he drops sarin on his own people, what’s that got to do with us?”
But they concluded that drawing a firm line might deter Mr. Assad....

Obama has himself in a pickle. However, if I were being 100% honest, I don’t give a $hit about whether they nerve gas each other or not. It’s a civil war. Not our problem.
Of course O cannot help himself. And he screws it up for everyone.
The children running the country right now have only two priorities. “Gay marriage” and gun confiscation. They could care less about anything else.
Why do we want to intervene in Syria? We have a dictator and Islamic radicals slaughtering each other. that’s not a problem. He’ll, that’s a solution.
They can’t legitimately use the “what’s that got to do with us?” line with troops engaged in active fighting all over the world, killing people that have no ability to attack anything American for thousands of miles.
Sorry, no credibility to use that line.
So, the Russians are bending to meet with the opposition in Syria while Obama stances is now “...what’s it to us”?
=> “Tell Vlad I’ll have more flexibility after the election.”
They are kneeling to the bear. But, they will back the Muslim Brotherhood.

Hate to admit, there doesn’t seem to be a downside to this. Why should we risk any more lives on these savages?

Obama will take this time for talks to reapply the Syrian resistance, he wants them to win -flawed. Best case scenario for everyone outside Syria (setting morality aside) is a decade of Assad rebuilding under persistent sabotage and insurgent attacks. Muslim Brotherhood wins, as Obama would win, then damn Syria. The Muslim Brotherhood will launch against the next softest sectarian government -maybe Jordan? Obama would like that.
I’m agreeing with Obama on this one.....
Remember that Obama implemented the “Red Line” if Syria used any chemical agents against the rebels...Israel used air strikes on these chemical targets without getting”prior approval” from the White House Isreal knew where the Red Line was, and also knew Barry wouldn’t do a damn thing. Israel also knew if the WH was told, it wouldn’t be a secret anymore, because Barry would have tipped Assad of the strikes. Barry ended up with egg on his face because of his Red Line BS.
“They could care less about anything else.” — so what are the other issues the are caring less about? Do you mean they COULD NOT care less? Meaning they are at rock bottom? i.e. 0 percent ability to care? Or do you mean they have a way to go before they hit absolute rock bottom on the caring scale? I wish some on our side were more precise.
Once again mac daddy proves that his words are useless unless it screws the American tax payers or is a benifit to him.

Likewise, I don’t really care what a bunch of competing Muslims do to each other, as long as a meddling Muslim US President does not intercede or help one side (likely the Muslim Brotherhood collective) over the other.
Obama’s administration is just about as two-face as one can get. Obama says gassing one’s people is a ‘game-changer’ and one of his butt-boys says ‘why do we care?’
Incomprehensible in a government run by adults. This one? standard operational procedure. With Obama, it’s me, me, me and lie, lie, lie all the time 24/7/365. He, they, will SAY or DO anything, even contradictory, depending on who they speak to or about to whom. A case in point is Obama’s Mexico trip. “We welcome your illegals (please distribute these Getting Entitlement pamphlets from the USGPO to you peasants) and we’re sorry about the guns we ship here illegally.”
As for Israel, as long as outside powers such as Iran, Russia, China don’t meddle, I think she can take care of herself just fine. Obama is going to send one too many mixed and conflicting signals or stand up in front of a throng of ululating Muslims saying Israel is not sovereign, and she will nuke the shit out of the first country that steps over her border. She will only be pushed so far.
