Following the Newtown shooting spree, Dick’s Sporting Goods changed their policy and stopped selling AR-pattern and other semi-automatic, magazine-fed rifles, even the guns they had already sold.If there’s a silver lining for all the people who were eagerly waiting for that Troy Carbine and were vastly dissappointed, it’s that Dick’s isn’t doing so well in the financial department.At a time where the only thing a company has to do to sell firearms, ammo and accessories is to unlock their doors, Dick’s sales have flat-lined. In fact, their sales dropped 2.2 percent in the fourth quarter of 2012 compared to 2011 and their shares 10 percent in the last quarter.

I went in Dix to buy some workout clothes and one outfit including a sports bra, capris and a shirt was well over $100. I went to TJ Maxx next door and bought almost same outfit, same brands for around $30.

Dick is way overpriced. Went in several times, then back to Academy. Bucket of baseballs 20% higher at Dicks. Now why would I pay that? For the privilege of shopping at Dicks? Why would I do that? I don’t understand Dicks Strategery. Same stuff, with extra special mark up. Plus as an added bonus, no cool guns...???
There were few exceptions in the coupon's fine print, so I bought plenty of hunting ammo and a bit of 5.56 and .45 ACP that way. It tickled me to turn the green agenda into lead, copper and brass.
Recyclebank changed the way the points are redeemed, so I lost interest. Just as well, since I won't be spending money at Dick's anyway.
I haven’t stepped foot into Dicks since they asked me for my driver’s license to buy a gun sling last summer.
The Dick head made a bad decision and it will cost his company big time.
if you can’t buy a gun, you don’t need ammo, or gun cases, or sights, or gun cleaning kits or if its a hunting gun, you don’t need any camping gear, including tents, sleeping bags, lanterns,cook stoves and cooking equipment, and forget hiking boots and outdoor clothes....
Haven’t gone there and never will.
I was going to buy a Troy Carbine from them in early December on backorder. I would have been like all the other buyers who had their orders cancelled. Dick’s will be going out of business soon. Disrespecting the 2nd Amendment and your customers can be very bad for your business.
