Once the darling of the Tea Party, Florida Republican Sen. Marco Rubio has faced an intense backlash of criticism from the conservative wing of his party over his support for comprehensive immigration reform.
Rubio, a member of the bipartisan Gang of Eight that authored the bill, has furiously tried to blunt the criticism this week, acknowledging concerns that the bill does not go far enough to ensure border security and prevent "amnesty," an ambiguous but potent fear among opponents of immigration reform.
"I don't disagree with that being a major problem," Rubio said in an interview on Sean Hannity's radio show Wednesday. "And I would say thats the single biggest impediment to getting anything done on this that people just don't trust the government."
"So heres what Im hearing from people, to be honest. What Im hearing from people is, Look, we understand theres 11 million people here. Were not going to round them all out and deport them. We understand that, but were not going to do anything if we cant ensure that we dont have 11 million more right behind them to come illegally."
Here's the new cover of the conservative National Review:
Check on right between giddy Rubio and McCain.

Now, they might have brushed Norquist because it made the photo better...who knows! This is the writer's opinion, not mine.
But fact is, the powers that be don't want you to know that a lobbyist is writing our laws!
MUST read: Grover Norquist: A Republican who acts like a Democrat? http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/3013887/posts
(title shortened for space)
Some people are stuck on stupid.... Including those named. This is more of the leftist BS social justice.
Looks to me like the photo was just cropped to show the Three Stooges in all their glory. No photoshop from the looks of it.
And one look at Chuckie tells you he's ecstatic knowing he has Latino/Republican support in the liberal scheme to make voting democRATs of the ILLEGAL hordes.
Just look at those smirking stupid looking mugs.
Those schmucks are the worst of the worst.
Piss be upon them.
Rubio may be laughing now but I wonder how hard he’ll be laughing next election. If he thinks he would get the illegal vote he is out of his mind.
Pay no attention to the man behind the curtain.
Just from a composition standpoint (with no commentary on the issue) I would have made the same photoshop.
Agreed!
“Pay no attention to the man behind the curtain.”
Grover Norquist the “WIZARD OF AMNESTY!”
And Schumer, well he’s just creepy.
McCain and Kennedy and Graham laughed like jackasses in another photo back during one of the last AMNESTY Bill movies...
AMNESTY Bill IV or so...
“Just from a composition standpoint (with no commentary on the issue) I would have made the same photoshop.”
I agree, as stated in post#1.
Schumer is a flying monkey.
[snip]”Grover Norquist of Americans for Tax Reform, rejected the criticism that the legislation was written to boost special interests. If there are areas where theres lack of fairness or need to make something general as oppose to specific, that can happen on floor of the Senate, Norquist said. Its not like we put this together last night and you dont have time to read it..http://news.yahoo.com/special-interests-shadow-immigration-reform-105256157.html
I so despise this thug.
Of course, they did. Nobody recognizes Norquist. NRO wanted Rubio framed by the iconic faces of Schumer and McLame.
Even though he hasn’t mentioned the name, Mark Levin DID discuss what was behind this push. He called out McConnell and identified him correctly as being a corporatist NOT capitalist...I might have some of the wording wrong, but you get the idea.
Levin made a point of calling out the corporate lobbyists who are pushing this garbage. Maybe someone should remind him of old fruity grover’s name and mission!
Hard to believe Rubio is dumb enough to get himself in a position to be photographed yucking it up front and center with those two fools. I think he will be seeing that picture often for the rest of his career. I will never forget it.
i haven’t read the story if there is one, but this sure restores a little faith in nr
