Senator Marco Rubio, the leading Republican behind the Gang of Eight comprehensive immigration reform proposal, has often challenged those who criticize the bill to come up with ways to improve it. And not just his fellow lawmakers; Rubio has opened a new page on his Senate website asking for help from the public. Visit our website and submit your ideas to Help Us Improve the Bill, says an announcement from Rubios office Friday. Since the immigration legislation was introduced, Rubio has received over 1,100 suggestions for how to improve the bill. Rubio encourages the public to continue reviewing the bill and sharing their ideas on ways to make the bill better when the time comes to amend the legislation.

Is it just me? I can’t get any of the current comments to load. I bet they didn’t approve mine.
1. Get rid of your chief of staff Cesar Conda & mouthpiece Grover Norquist, who have destroyed EVERY attempt at immigration enforcement for 3 decades.
2. Address the anchor baby situation.
3. Allow the border patrol and groups like CIS, numbersusa and many others to testify, instead of ALL open border groups as you have been doing.
4. STOP lying about what is in S744 and STOP using SPLC talking points to try to insult and destroy YOUR CONSERVATIVE/TEA PARTY base!
They haven’t posted any new comments since April 17. At least I don’t see any. Byron York said there were well over 1100.
You got it; but also includes slavery.

"The [immigration] bill will not flood our cities with immigrants. It will not upset the ethnic mix of our society. It will not relax the standards of admission. It will not cause American workers to lose their jobs." - Ted Kennedy, 1965

"This amnesty will give citizenship to only 1.1 to 1.3 million illegal aliens. We will secure the borders henceforth. We will never again bring forward another amnesty bill like this." - Ted Kennedy, 1986 "Now it is time for action. 2007 is the year we must fix our broken system." - Ted Kennedy, 2007
In more rational times, if someone invaded your country, and they were not wearing a uniform, they were considered to be a spy or saboteur. And when captured, they would be summarily shot.
I believe this would settle the “illegal immigrant” problem.

Thank you sir!
I left my comments in BOLD.
The lightweight team Rubio has been removing the posts...
I just read an interesting article. Says that Mexican population has stabilized, no longer growing rapidly. Inflow and outflow of Mexicans between US and Mexico, is now about equal, and many more come from other countries. Was amazed to see that Grover Norquist was speaking publicly in favor of the potential immigration legalization laws now being discussed. Really surprised me.
Rubio might be serious, but I don’t believe the others are.
I believe a promise was made to secure the borders when Reagan granted amnesty, but it didn’t happen.
Haven’t we learned by now that we need to secure the borders BEFORE we talk about any other kind of immigration reform?
“..All we will get from that is 100 yards of new fence and a letter from Janet Napolitano saying the border has been secured while illegals are still poring across the border.
Well then, they need to say no more reform because it’s not good enough.
Rubio might want the borders secured, but I don’t believe it’s his priority. Too bad, when he’s so good about other issues.
Sign the Petition against amnesty for illegal aliens!
We, the undersigned, hereby call on all members of the US Congress and Senate to reject any form of amnesty, path to citizenship, or legal status for the more than 12 million illegal immigrants currently in America. All current “immigration reform” plans being considered would eventually create a new voting bloc that would destabilize American politics further while preventing any future effective immigration or border law enforcement! We furthermore call on Congress to adequately enforce all existing border and immigration laws and to protect all states and US Citizens from invasion and damages from illegal immigration as both are demanded by our US Constitution.
