It's doesn't explain why we get so few incidents relative to the large numbers of Muslims we have here (about 3m people, not counting tourists). There are plenty of Muslims who don't agree with our invasion of Iraq and Afghanistan. For some, it's a religious matter, whereas for others, it's purely tribal, in the sense that a Christian or lapsed Christian might get worked up upon hearing Christians are being persecuted somewhere in the world. A Christian or even Christian turned atheist doesn't have be devout to automatically identify with persecuted Christians - the reflex is to think "that could have been me".
Point being that millions of Muslims stateside think Uncle Sam is beating up on poor Ahmad or some random Muhammad-lover overseas, without also thinking that the solution is to set off bombs to kill large numbers of random American civilians or even to kill anyone here. For these Muslims, their disagreement with our Iraqi and Afghan expeditions goes in the Injustice of The Day Inbox along with lazy welfare spongers and punitive Federal regulations.
I’m not looking for any excuses at all. I don’t give a sh!t if you want to call them “terrorists” or “murderers,” or if you want to ascribe their motives to radical Islam or some kind of psychosis. If I had my way the surviving one would be put on trial right there in his hospital bed, and then tossed into a woodchipper ten minutes after his conviction.
Let us not forget al Qaeda is on the run, Obama has muslims tour the WH when we can’t, and Kerry is out with his calculator tallying up the Saudi gifts and money. Low level morons like this pass on talking points and accept their check at the end of the week.

How harshly is it even possible to treat someone? Especially when they're already dead. That's not the point. The point is the clear difference in the nature of these acts. The three "shooters" were acting out personal fantasies of some kind, and in this sense their acts were "crazy", that is done only to gratify the impulse, and with no idea of anything to follow.
The Boston bombers acted in concert, and walked away from the scene anonymously, resuming their innocuous seeming activities. They planned to do more, but were foiled by the video that ID'd them, which represents a miscalculation on their part. I say it was terrorism if there is such a thing, and there is.
Jokhar Tsarnaev disagrees with this mental midget. He says they did it as a jihad in retribution for the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan.

My concern is that if we we proclaim that the Boston Bomber is the worst criminal or terrorist that we have in US custody, we are slightly raising the status of the mass shooter.
Classify the Islamic bomber as a terrorist and classify the mass shooters as terrorists.
