The Saudi national who was initially detained and then ruled out as a suspect in the Boston Marathon terrorist attack had been flagged on a terror watch list and was granted a student visa without being properly vetted, sources have told me.
A source close to the investigation revealed that Abdul Rahman Ali Alharbi had been deemed inadmissible under the section of the Immigration and Nationality Act which declares ineligible for a visa any alien who is engaged in or is likely to engage after entry in terrorist activity.
At least two additional sources have confirmed to me that Ali Alharbi is set to be deported as early as this week, contrary to statements made by Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano.

An Immigration and Customs Enforcement official told me that it was a case a Saudi being in the wrong place at the wrong time.
The official, with knowledge of the case, said Alharbis status has changed but as it now stands he will be sent back home.
They dont like the negative press, the official said of the Saudis. The guess is he will probably be allowed to leave without a lot of hype in order to avoid political sensitivities with the Saudis.

Because our news media is in the hip pocket of this administration, which is in the hip pocket of the Saudis.

In one picture, he has his fingers linked. He’d never do that if they were burned. Nope, that dog don’t hunt.
I went to Starnes homepage. He has a Twitter account there with the story title and a link. Went to the link, same result: “No results found”.

Below is the message I just sent to Rep Buchanan FL. My message also included the Fox news story now scrubbed. A similar email was sent to my Senator Marco “the-let-all-the-criminals-in” Rubio.
Dear Congressman Buchanan,
Have you asked the Obama Administration, the Secretary of State, the DHS Secretary, the DOJ AG, or any other official about the status of this person (Abdul Rahman Ali Alharbi)? Was this person on a terror watch list? Was this person subsequently removed from a terror watch list? Does this person still reside in the United States? Has this person been deported under a cloud of suspicion? Is Congress going to investigate this situation?

DHS questioned over decision to let Saudi passengers skip normal passport controls
Published March 20, 2013
A Department of Homeland Security program intended to give “trusted traveler” status to low-risk airline passengers soon will be extended to Saudi travelers, opening the program to criticism for accommodating the country that produced 15 of the 19 hijackers behind the Sept. 11, 2001, terrorist attacks.
Okay, could be early misinformation that was out there.
