Two men told police they were experimenting with making explosives after watching a how-to on YouTube when their attempt exploded on a Bayonne fire escape yesterday afternoon, WPIX reported last night. Christopher Ziobro, 21, and Ghaias Mirza, 18, were being questioned in the 33rd Street incident in which no one was injured, the television report said.
A man who lives in the apartment directly below told the station there were two loud blasts and milk containers were involved.

Islam strikes again
meh, who hasn’t blown up a milk jug or 2 liter bottle at least once in their life? The works + many tiny aluminum foil balls+2 liter jug-—> BOOM!+ fun+fun+fun
Turkish name, turks are Muslims
Obviously they aren’t very adept.
The fact that the ‘remains’ weren’t swept up into a dustpan proves that point..
Like the cartoon at the ‘Terrorist School’, with the instructor with a ‘bomb’ strapped to his chest, him holding a detonator and saying
“Watch closely, I am only going to do this once”.
ban milk containers
/sarcasm
Hey, when I was young, we blew up milk jugs all the time with dry ice. I’m wondering if they were doing that.
The other type of milk jug bomb, that I can remember, was the calcium chloride & water bomb. Harmless, but could be flammable.
People get too worked up over that stuff, now. Thanks muzzies!
Cheers
A much safer method is a 2 liter soda container and some dry ice left over from an Omaha Steak order. No caustic ingredients and louder than you can imagine.
Wonder if Crispy Kreame is going to call his excellency for help with this issue.
Could be an example of Hanlon’s Razor- Never ascribe to malice that which is adequately explained by stupidity. It’s possible they were amusing themselves with simple dry ice bombs which make loud noises but are relatively harmless....
Ooops! Meant to say “calcium carbide.” Hey, it’s been about 40 years since I was a kid. My memory’s not what it used to be.
Cheers!
IDK, I can imagine a lot of loudness. An MRE heater in a bottle of water has been known to make people crap their pants too.
...incident in which no one was injured
********
Not this time. Nobody will do anything until there are injuries and deaths.
Oh yes, more of the classic, right wing WASP names of the sort who cause all the trouble.
The real fun is with Sodium and Water...
Mirza (Persian: میرزا, Turkish: Merza or Mirza, Arabic: مرزا or المرزا. Uzbek: mirzo, Russian: мурза, Circassian: мырзэ), (common variance in Tatar nobility as Morza) is of Persian origin, denoting the rank of a high nobleman or Prince.[1] It is usually translated into English as a royal or imperial Prince of the Blood. It signified male-line descent and relationship to the Imperial Families of Turkey, Persia and later South Asi
Mirza however is Muslim (Bangladesh, India, and Pakistan):
from a personal name based on the Persian honorific title Mirza
