There line of reasoning wouldn’t make sense. Why do the smaller bombs then? If that keeps people in their homes, which it did, it would be less damaging then if they let people get into the city for work, ballgames, etc.
99 percent of us on this thread are not from the area and do not know what is really happening on the ground. The LEO's do deserve our respect for going in harms way to protect common citizens. Another way to look at this sad situation is this: Shed a tear for America's lost innocence and greatness, and shed a tear for America if actions such as today's become commonplace.
I’d only start worrying about nukes if a Nuclear Emergency Support Team (NEST) was known to be operating. No indication so far of that.
And if that was the case. Obama would have been in the loop and would not have gone to Boston.
