The Government or the media. Which is worse? Which is more corrupt, dishonest and untrustworthy? Think about the agendas they both have and give us an answer.
Which is worse, Mao or Stalin? Does it matter?

I trust youre being sarcastic. Or you really dont care?
Don't disagree with your list, I'd make an addition to it: THE MEDIA.
Do you not think that the Lamestream Media also wants power and control over your life? I contend they do - by the information they do / do not PRESENT to the Public.
When the Lamestream Media becomes a bunch of willing co-cospiratorial whores (think: PRAVDA) then they're exercising POWER and CONTROL over you, and that POWER and CONTROL is sanctioned by the Government.
Just my NOT VERY humble opinion on this one. ;-) BTW: I really like the question the original poster put forth for its provocativeness. This thread should be a very good read.
Government, because media can only destroy you, government under the right conditions can kill you regardless of the facts!
Thank you. Good thought. You are in the minority, though. It looks like too many replies are “Who cares?” followed by “The Media.”
You personally can "opt out" of the media's constant bombardment of lies and disinformation, specially where this Government is concerned - but do your friends and neighbors? Do those around you consume and believe the media's lies and disinformation? Don't your friends, family and acquaintances and others read/listen/watch the media and consume news and vote?
Do you really think their votes don't impact you directly? I bet they do by the following three words: Barack Hussein Obama.
I'll go further to state that "the press" is the only private occupation mentioned in the Constitution, which gives it special recognition.
Today's press is both abused by the government, and is abusive of the parts of government that it doesn't like and blind to the parts it does like.
They are two sides of the same coin, in my opinion.

I think that is true. If we ever get to the SHTF point, I truly believe the pitchforks and torches will be at the medias door first. The media will be lovin’ them some guns then. They will be the easiest to get to, when anger boils over. I don’t wish harm to anyone but I will find it hard to shed a tear for them. There will be better things to spend my tears on. The media will reap what they have sown. Oh well. *shrug*
Sorry. I missed you point in post 14. But what I’m reading now is...
The Media. The media is worse than the government.
Think about it. There is one answer. You question appears as a trick question because the media is in lock step with the regime.
The 4th estate IS a 5th column in the regime’s war AGAINST the people of the United States of America.
Don’t feel bad...
Marking this as you doubling down on “I don’t know”.
Marking this as doubling down on “I know who the enemy is and it is an insidious conspiracy “
You can bet the farm on that. The only way the TRUTH about a Second American Revolution would ever get out is if the Lamestream Media is taken out of the picture, period.
I'll tell you right now that one of the main reasons I became an amateur radio operator right after Obama got elected was so that there would be at least one voice telling the world the truth when the shtf!
Yes !!
The same people keep them both functioning.
I gave an opinion, though I rejected part of your premise. It was right there in my post, so I assume you missed it on purpose. Our current media is worse for the country than the current government. They are not the same entity, but those who run them do have the same agenda.
Two halves of the same pile of crap.
But since we still do have freedom of speech (for now), we get to answer how we want. ;)
Since the term "worse" is so subjective, it is perfectly reasonable for the answer to be that they are both equally bad. They might be bad for different reasons, but that doesn't mean their "worseness" can't be equal.
