Former Rep. Gabrielle Giffords lambasted the 46 senators who voted against an ill-fated bipartisan proposal to expand background checks on firearms sales and vowed to continue her fight for tougher gun laws.
"Speaking is physically difficult for me," Giffords wrote in a New York Times opinion piece published online after the Senate rejected the compromise on Wednesday. "But my feelings are clear: I'm furious. I will not rest until we have righted the wrong these senators have done."
Giffords, a Democrat, was seriously hurt in a 2011 shooting that killed six and wounded 13. She and her husband, Mark Kelly, have been vocal advocates for stricter gun laws since the Sandy Hook Elementary School massacre in Newtown, Connecticut, in December.

You have had lots of sympathy, but that is no license to consider that your awful handicap gives you the power to force us to give up any Constitutional Rights. Ever.

I feel bad for Giffords but I do not want to surrender my right to self defense to make her feel all fine and dandy with a flase sense of safety.
In reality, I could surrender my freedom and she would still be in danger of being shot by a bad person who would disobey the law. The problem is that these people don’t want to keep guns out of the hands of criminals - they want to ban guns altogether assuming the bad guys won’t have access to guns.
Mexico proves this wrong. Twenty four thousand law abiders murdered by bad guys with illegal fire arms last year. Some of the bad guys are government officials working for drug gangs. The US government was dealing guns to the bad guys in Mexico. In truth, the US government does not much care about bad guys using guns in Mexico or Chicago but have disarmed law abiding people so they can not defend themselves. They call good, evil and evil, good. They are disloyal.
Liberals are evil freaks of nature and they can not be trusted with extra-constitutional power over people. Our government officials are bought and paid for and no longer look out for the interests of Americans and no longer obey the rule of law. The courts have shown that they are not too interested in the constitution and rule of law, either.
The globalists of the NWO calls for the constitution to be abolished. As we have seen with DHS, absolute power corrupts absolutely. It’s distribing to see that absolute power is where the elite want to travel for globalism. We have to elect people who will stop them.
