Former Rep. Gabrielle Giffords lambasted the 46 senators who voted against an ill-fated bipartisan proposal to expand background checks on firearms sales and vowed to continue her fight for tougher gun laws.
"Speaking is physically difficult for me," Giffords wrote in a New York Times opinion piece published online after the Senate rejected the compromise on Wednesday. "But my feelings are clear: I'm furious. I will not rest until we have righted the wrong these senators have done."
Giffords, a Democrat, was seriously hurt in a 2011 shooting that killed six and wounded 13. She and her husband, Mark Kelly, have been vocal advocates for stricter gun laws since the Sandy Hook Elementary School massacre in Newtown, Connecticut, in December.

Go for it, Gabby ... please work to defeat the scrofulous little toads who brought a bunch of anti-American constitutional violations to a vote on the senate floor. Please help to right the wrong committed by Reid, Manchin, Lautenburg, Feinstein and the rest of that worthless lot.

I think he is using her. He just doesn't seem sincere to me for some reason.
She apparently has a difficult time reigning in her moron husband who not only attempted an illegal purchase of a so-called “assault weapon” but allowed a videoed interview of himself shooting a glock just like the one, as he says to shoot his wife. Giffords also did not seem to have much trouble speaking in the video.

Don’t get your panties in a wad, Gabby. Your Dear Leader has had his feelings hurt with his failure to get Universal Background Checks passed. But fear not, I’m sure he’ll rebound (basketball reference) with a new Executive Order (perhaps no more right turns on Mondays, something sensible like that).
Too bad the Conservative Federal Judge that was murdered by Jared Loughner doesn’t have a voice to counter Gabrielle’s point of view.
After his illegal shenanigans here in AZ with his straw purchase of an ASS AULT rifle, he should be banned from owning any weapon...EVER.

I have always found it so interesting how our elected officials have no problem saying one thing while doing another. I like Mrs. Giffords and am glad she is doing well. I hope she will be up front about her fellow democrats and their true natures. I mean, look at how those in her party used Sandy Hook to push gun control. They have used it as nothing but another political sham to try to garner support and votes from those affected by pretending to truly care and want to solve the problem of violence that we face. But the truth is, when it comes down to actually acting, no one wants to touch it, hence the lack of votes in support. These officials know that voting for the bill would cost them in the only area they truly care about.....being re-elected. Hypocrisy and lip service at their finest. Talk a big game, feign a little sympathy for the families, and load them onto Air Force One for a trip to the capitol to make it seem like they are serious about this matter. But.....what happened when it came time for action??? Of course it will all be the fault of crazy, gun loving republicans right? But you democrats showed where you really stand by your votes. Why are so many Americans blind to this? It happens every single day. Or is it ignorance? I am appalled by the double standards in Washington. From the president himself especially. He made it a point to speak about Trayvon Martin bearing resemblance to a son he doesn’t have. Yet doesn’t say a word when a 3 month old infant is shot in the face and killed in front of his mother in GA recently by a 17 year old black man who reminds me a lot of Trayvon Martin. Why is the infant not worth your two cents Mr. President? Please answer that question for us. The president and his pals choose their battles to suit them and their agenda. They do not choose them out of conviction. Yet tons of folks still are under his spell and truly believe he is a great guy. He is a great politician and liar who is bent on destroying this country. Wake up!
It’s a shame the way she’s letting the liberals use her. Perhaps someone will be polite enough to sit down and explain what the words “shall not be infringed” means. She may have forgotten the constitution, but we haven’t.
Gabby, you no longer hold any title, so please be quiet and sit down.
