I have always found it so interesting how our elected officials have no problem saying one thing while doing another. I like Mrs. Giffords and am glad she is doing well. I hope she will be up front about her fellow democrats and their true natures. I mean, look at how those in her party used Sandy Hook to push gun control. They have used it as nothing but another political sham to try to garner support and votes from those affected by pretending to truly care and want to solve the problem of violence that we face. But the truth is, when it comes down to actually acting, no one wants to touch it, hence the lack of votes in support. These officials know that voting for the bill would cost them in the only area they truly care about.....being re-elected. Hypocrisy and lip service at their finest. Talk a big game, feign a little sympathy for the families, and load them onto Air Force One for a trip to the capitol to make it seem like they are serious about this matter. But.....what happened when it came time for action??? Of course it will all be the fault of crazy, gun loving republicans right? But you democrats showed where you really stand by your votes. Why are so many Americans blind to this? It happens every single day. Or is it ignorance? I am appalled by the double standards in Washington. From the president himself especially. He made it a point to speak about Trayvon Martin bearing resemblance to a son he doesn’t have. Yet doesn’t say a word when a 3 month old infant is shot in the face and killed in front of his mother in GA recently by a 17 year old black man who reminds me a lot of Trayvon Martin. Why is the infant not worth your two cents Mr. President? Please answer that question for us. The president and his pals choose their battles to suit them and their agenda. They do not choose them out of conviction. Yet tons of folks still are under his spell and truly believe he is a great guy. He is a great politician and liar who is bent on destroying this country. Wake up!
