Boston official: Video footage shows bomb suspect

BOSTON (AP) -- In what could be major break in the Boston Marathon case, investigators are on the hunt for a man seen in a department store surveillance video dropping off a bag at the site of the bombings, a local politician said Wednesday.

Separately, a law enforcement official confirmed that authorities have found an image of a potential suspect but don't know his name.

The development - less than 48 hours after the attack, which left three people dead and more than 170 wounded - marked a possible turning point in a case that has investigators analyzing photos and videos frame by frame for clues to who carried out the twin bombings and why.

City Council President Stephen Murphy, who said he was briefed by Boston police, said investigators saw the image on surveillance footage they got from a department store near the finish line and matched the findings with witness descriptions of someone leaving the scene.

My theory is "Approx 3-4 teams of 2." Redundancy protects the attackers against dud bombs, so they at least get 1-2 explosions by fielding 4 teams.

Here's another (possible/alleged) team. NOT the ones the media keeps referring to....

PUFFY COAT (dressed much too warmly; down parka; hat; possible gloves) and his partner BENDING GUY.

BENDING GUY is bent over (we see only his back/arms) messing with a very large bag/package on the ground.

BENDING GUY keeps fishing thru the package for awhile. NOTE: He's dressed in ALL-BLACK, just like (alleged suspect) seen on video running away full speed with his black clothes shredded from one explosion NEAR THE AREA OF THIS PHOTO.

Package happens to be within a couple yards (or even closer) of the 8yo boy that was killed. Also happens to be at "ground zero" for one of the explosions. I've surrounded them with THICK YELLOW lines.

I saw the same thing. Actually, there are a few males surrounding him that don't look the 'honky' that some of the press is pushing for.

I studied journalism in the '70's during the Woodward and Bernstein era.

I am so disgusted with what has become of the journalist corps. They are so biased and so inaccurate on many occasions. I've seen it up personnel - When an article purports to report but the article is full of errors and sometimes downright...."misrepresentations". And, I know this because they have reported erroneously at events in which I was in attendance. Everything from getting names and addresses wrong to the actual events they are "reporting" on.

Another reason I became disgusted with the media comes from watching CSPAN. I'd watch something on CSPAN and when I'd read the report in newspapers, magazines, and watch in television news, I'd scratch my head and wonder sometimes if they were covering the same event I was watching.

It was most often "wrong" on number of march participants on "wherever/whatever" event.

Naturally conservative marches were way under estimated and favored groups attendance were way over estimated.

"Journalism" has put our society at risk. Who knows what's what anymore.

Package on ground that BENDING GUY keeps rifling thru is either large bags; stack of bags/packages; or BABY Carrier/Carriage (wheeled or no wheels).

Note that covered baby carriage could have concealed maybe 1 or 2 pressure-cooker bombs for detonation in same spot or detonation in separate spots.

Next time, everybody must be searched like hell before admission to spectator areas. For music concerts at the stadium, they usually make folks open their bags briefly, correct?

Research has shown that there are four distinct classes of Crackers in the U.S.

1. Eastern Cracker — Identified by the gravy and BBQ sauce stained wife beater he is always wearing. Sub-identification can be ascertained by the discernment of a New Joisy accent.

2. Southern Cracker — Identified by the consumption of grits with every meal and the collection of 50 or more empty Budweiser cans in the back of his pickup truck.

3. Western Cracker — Identified by the fold-up fishing pole in his back pocket and the Ronald Reagan headband that has collected the three feet of grayish hair.

4. Northern Cracker — Identified by having at least two containers of Dutch potato salad in their refrigerator and the collection of 50 or more empty Miller Lite cans in their bathroom.

It looks like the two arab guys have the bags and the white hat drops his. The white guy with the blue/reg shirt seems to be looking for the owner of it after they drop the bag (not shouldering it, just holding it). If only there was video showing their interactions.

The features of the black men surrounding the black backpack guy do resemble Middle Easterners/Africans. I could be wrong. Just putting it out there.

Ok, so look all the way to the right. Ignore everything else on the picture. Just where the picture starts to turn blue. Guy with black shirt, no hat, bending down near guardrail. His black sleeved arm is extending over the rail and he has what appears to be a black backpack in his hand. Does anyone else think this is the guy?

From this view, the bag has been dropped by suspects in right red circle. White guy with bad is looking at them like "Hey, why'd the hell you drop this?" He probably takes the bag and drops it over by the wall.
