BOSTON (AP) -- In what could be major break in the Boston Marathon case, investigators are on the hunt for a man seen in a department store surveillance video dropping off a bag at the site of the bombings, a local politician said Wednesday.
Separately, a law enforcement official confirmed that authorities have found an image of a potential suspect but don't know his name.
The development - less than 48 hours after the attack, which left three people dead and more than 170 wounded - marked a possible turning point in a case that has investigators analyzing photos and videos frame by frame for clues to who carried out the twin bombings and why.
City Council President Stephen Murphy, who said he was briefed by Boston police, said investigators saw the image on surveillance footage they got from a department store near the finish line and matched the findings with witness descriptions of someone leaving the scene.

Scott Pelley of CBS interrupted afternoon programming and showed the footage from the Lord And Taylor building. He showed closeups, and did analysis. By 6:30 his story was down the memory hole. The story was Dear Leader, Gabby and the bereft Newtown parents against the shameful Republicans wrecking his gun control bill.

Perhaps a quick look at the Arabic sources should raise the eyebrows of every American relative to the extent of the problem at hand. Many from Al-Harbi’s clan are steeped in terrorism and are members of Al-Qaeda. Out of a list of 85 terrorists listed by the Saudi government shows several of Al-Harbi clan to have been active fighters in Al-Qaeda:

Secretary of State Kerry’s meeting with the Saudi Foreign Minister Saud Al-Faisal was abruptly closed to the press the day Abdul al-Harbi was being questioned. There is no doubt in my mind that this was discussed.

The 8 year old boys father said that his wife and children (including his 8 year old son) were killed near the 2nd bomb site as they were running away from the first bomb site.

that should be... injuried (wife & daughter) and 8 year old son killed by the 2nd bomb site as they ran from the direction of the 1st bomb site.
Yeah, I saw it a couple minutes later... kept going back to look.
That is before the bombing, I think. The guy was in the hospital, burned, and that is from his Facebook page.

The details of their deaths are heartbreaking. The Richard family had been trying to get away from the first explosion when they were caught in the second blast. Martin was killed, while his mother, Denise, and six-year-old sister Jane suffered serious wounds in the attack. His father Bill was hit on the legs by metal fragments and ball bearings. Martin’s older brother, Henry, was not injured.
CIA/FBI analysts are probably going over and over these photos until their eyes start watering or bleeding.

Yes. I would hope they were picked up, but who knows? I trust Obama can (reluctantly) take care of business when it can help him politically, so we have that small comfort. I hope he is concerned for his political future and is looking at all of this that way. If he messes this up, it could harm him politically like nothing else has so far. A successful bombing (well 2 actually) that killed 3 and maimed over 150, in broad daylight on US soil, with hundreds of cameras and millions of Americans have seen it by now.
