COULTER: One thing that I know, because I know people who know her, is when Sarah Palin first burst on the scene, the political scene, she wanted to have a meeting with Palin, because she saw raw political talent, but wanted to teach Sarah Palin to do what she did.
COULTER: To teach her to speak proper English. Palin did not meet with her, and just a year or two ago, when Sarah Palin was promoting some reality show or something, she went to England. And she announced to the press that she was planning on dropping by to see Lady Thatcher, and Lady Thatcher put out the word that she was not available.
COULTER: What, I think, a lot of us saw, that Sarah Palin did have raw political talent. And if she had been willing to put her nose to the grindstone and pursue improving herself, speaking proper English, reading stuff, knowing lots of things, she could have been great. Shes a fine person, but that isnt what shes pursuing. (via MP)
If its the word I think you are referring to, we are far more likely to use it as a pejorative for a male. Using that word to describe a female (even if she was the very female incarnation of Satan) is widely considered over here to be something only the lowest of the low would do, even in all-male company of the most politically incorrect kind.
Frankly, the only men I’ve ever using that word to describe a woman have been Americans in movies or on youtube videos, which would suggest to me that the word is not quite as taboo over there as it is over here, at least not amongst younger males.
That is COMPLETELY beyond the point. Lady Thatcher do not deserve to be dragged into petty intra-party sniping on the day of her death.
do=does.
Coulter, Noonan, Parker... Does anybody even bother with these phonies anymore?
I don’t know if you’d noticed, but Palin’s manner of speech is far more more refined than in the past. It’s most evident during interviews.
Second, why is Ann Coulter using the occasion of Mrs. Thatcher's death to criticize Sarah Palin? Ms. Coulter has a rare opportunity to go on the MSM and talk about Mrs. Thatcher and perhaps educate some people ignorant of her many accomplishments. Why waste such an opportunity criticizing Sarah Palin.
Third, why tell a story that is at best second hand and probably third hand? I doubt it is even true. Ann Coulter never spoke to Mrs. Thatcher about Sarah Palin. She does not know how Mrs. Thatcher felt. It is stupid to repeat the snide remarks of unnamed third parties who may or may not be telling the truth.
This is similar to Ann Coulter supporting Mitt Romney. At the very least it shows a lack judgment and more likely it shows a lack of principle.
Coulter is POC, have zero use for her, I have 1 of her books that was given to me. it`s been heading for fireplace, mind you I dont want to get any evil fumes from it either
Coulter has firmly attached herself to the Tokyo Rove branch of the party and thus viscerally loathes conservatives.
I think Coulter sleeps in sin with the HBO guy
I love that quote of hers. She was quite a lady!
Hey Ann, I don't bother reading your idiocy. I hit the mute button or change the channel when you show up on FOX. You were WRONG about the the budget negotiations (I remember your pathetic, “This is the best we can do!”). Your damn choice of presidential candidate was pure lunacy. You are a Zero, a NOTHING, a NO ONE.
Sadly, even some here still think that the North-Eastern ‘Pubbies’ are Conservative :/
Many of us gave up trying to tell them otherwise :p
I like Ann Coulter and I like Sarah Palin. Coulter has been very wrong about some things in recent years and not only is she wrong about this but she comes off as petty and classless with these comments at the passing of Margaret Thatcher.
The Jealous, political Whore, Ann Coulter, spews again.
Ann is so jealous it’s killing her.
Ann you would do well to go see Sarah and ask her to teach you, how to speak American!
Perfect.
Sarah Palin speaks like someone who graduated from the University of Idaho, which she did. We understand her perfectly out here.
It's been quite some time since I understood much of what Ann Coulter says. She became nearly incomprehensible somewhere around "Chris Christie blah blah blah."
Coulter is desperate for attention.
