Attorney General Eric Holder expressed “concern” Thursday evening that black men are unfairly served with longer prison sentences than white men and that America’s prison system demands overhaul.
“Too many people go to too many prisons for far too long for no good law enforcement reason,” Mr. Holder said, in remarks to the Rev. Al Sharpton’s National Action Network in New York, Politico reported. “It is time to ask ourselves some fundamental questions about our criminal justice system. … It is time to examine our systems and determine what truly works.”
Mr. Holder said in the Politico report that state laws oftentimes require sentences that are too harsh for the specific case — and that “breed[s] disrespect” for the court system. He also referred to a report from the U.S. Sentencing Commission released in February and said figures show that blacks are being disproportionately prosecuted and sentenced.
“I am concerned by a troubling report … which indicates that — in recent years — black male offenders have received sentences that are nearly 20 percent longer than those imposed on white males convicted of similar crimes,” he said, Politico reported.

Zero tolerance public school policy came from leftists race baiting school punishment. Baiters claimed more black boys were suspended or expelled than white boys from public schools. School boards did not want to be named guilty of racism by virtue of quota statistics (an absolute false premise) they decided widen the pool of punishable behavior. Hence, a gang banger with a gun at school gets expelled just like the white boy who drew a picture of a battle with guns or shot someone with his finger. The attacker in the fight is suspended as along with the victim.
You can see the same mentality working at DHS where Christians are named terrorists like Islamists and everyone at the airport gets sexually molested, even a child in a wheelchair or a blue haired granny. They will stick their filthy hands all over people whether they surgical wounds or not. They did not want to be “unfair” and only check jihadists at the gates. In fact, DHS gave Saudi travelers special fast clearance. (the 911 bombers were Saudis) So they make perfectly innocent people guilty and perfectly guilty people innocent, in equality. Injustice makes leftists all fuzzy inside.

Is this an apples to apples comparison? Does the data take into consideration repeat offenders? Same crime? Pleading guilty vs leaving it to a jury?

Exactly. Jesse Jackazz has already called for federal forces, essentially martial law, to deal with the high black murder rate in Chicago, though of course he only boo-hoos about the black victims and ignored the fact that the perps are also black. And not a peep about the non-black victims of the mobs.
After seeing this, it is sickening to think that these are the people running your healthcare. They are setting it up where all blacks will be in a separate section from whites. It also tells you who is going to be denied treatments and subsidies.
It’s worth noting that the complaint is NEVER, EVER, that whites don’t get enough time...it’s that blacks get too much.
That alone should be enough to convince ANYONE that there is a political agenda attached.
I don’t want dangerous white criminals released back into my white community, so why do the want dangerous black criminals released into theirs?
