Ravens linebacker Brendon Ayanbadejo was released by Baltimore this offseason, and on the heels of comments earlier this week where he suggested that he was cut in part because of his outspoken stance on gay rights and equality issues, Ayanbadejo clarified himself to the Baltimore Sun on Friday. During an hour-long interview he made it clear that he harbors no resentment for the Ravens, and respects them for the support they offered him throughout his career both on and off the field. But that's not all.
...Ayanbadejo had this to say:
"I think it will happen sooner than you think," Ayanbadejo said. "We're in talks with a handful of players who are considering it. There are up to four players being talked to right now and they're trying to be organized so they can come out on the same day together. It would make a major splash and take the pressure off one guy. It would be a monumental day if a handful or a few guys come out."

a friend made a good point about this subject saying you know the owners/coaches dont want to see this because what happens when a gay player gets cut and they go whining discrimination. there will be a fear to cut a gay player becuase the gay mafia would be out in full force.
Good point. I don’t understand the love affair with these people that “the majority” of people living in this country are having with homosexuals these days. They need to move on to the “next big thing”.
You would if it were your crotch underneath which the football was being passed!
This is the homoerotic movement’s sick approach. Football fans are very likely NOT to care about the sexuality of players so long as the STFU about it and get the job done on the field.
This crap about “coming out” — there’s not one positive aspect to it. All it will serve to do is divide people. But of course the left is all about dividing anc conquering, so THEY see it as a win.
How many players are there on the team during a game, 26? Ya think there are 26 separate showers in the locker room? No way, shower stalls have to be shared, while the bus is impatiently waiting burning precious diesel oil and the driver is paid by the hour!
And...let's see. 4 players out of what? 53 times 32 teams equals "not enough to amount to much".
Unless it's someone high profile (Tom Brady? lol!!) this will amount to zilch. Overwhelming number of high-profile players? Sure, it's a story.
Couple of 3rd string DBs and practice squad linemen? The NFL fans will yawn collectively and go back to the NCAA tournament.
I would be absolutely stunned if one of them wasn’t Chris Kluwe.
/Thread hijack attempt!/
FWIW Kluwe is married (to a woman).
Hence the FWIW.
WGAFF.
LOL! “Laces out!”
Nah, that’s impossible. Mormons are Christians.

Isn’t that Jerry Jr.?
Pro football players should stick to playing football. When your conduct becomes a detriment to team unity and a strong clubhouse, you'll find yourself waived.
As well as wide receiver!
