One thumb up for the amusing, witty film reviews, at least until late in his life ...
and one thumb down for his late-in-life spew of leftist hatred.
RIP.
May he rest in peace.
Oh.
Well..... Bye.
Cancer is a horrible disease so may he RIP..but the horrible things he said about Conservatives and Republican won’t be missed
After watching the Siskel and Ebert show a few times, and disagreeing completely with their reviews, my wife and I would only occasionally watch to see which movies they gave their “double thumbs up” to. We knew then, to NOT waste time or money on those movies! :)
R.I.P.
He was a visceral man. I hope he repented in the end.
I will NOT have ANYTHING good to say about him for Him, His “Industry” and the “Industry” that he reported on accelerated the ROT of our once-GREAT Country. He will stand before the “Great White Throne” to give an account of his life and receive JUDGEMENT!
Rest in peace Mr. Ebert.
The sequester cuts to the cost of Medicaid cancer treatments killed him.Elections have consequences.
He was hate-filled liberal.
gasbag
(that’s my review)
No tears shed here. I here it’s pretty warm where he is right now.
Jess Franco died on April 2nd.
Roget Ebert died on April 4th.
Who's next? Has anyone called Ron Jeremy to check on his health?
Um, yeah, mama always said, “If you can’t say something nice...”
Lib politically but made his mark with all kinds of film reviews in print and on TV. He said of 1994’s “North” “I hated hated hated HATED this movie” and gave it zero stars.
The thumbs up/thumbs down Siskel and Ebert were spoofed in Hollywood Shuffle (IIRC) in a segment called “Sneaking Into
The Movies”. The two guys who snuck in gave one movie The Finger instead.
