Yeah but at least they apologized.

They probably saw the error of their ways - that communism results in inestimable human misery and that Christianity would be a better philosophy to follow.

Agreed.

For some years, IIRC, they refused to show an American flag or a symbol of U.S. veterans on Memorial Day or Veterans Day.

Couple years ago they started doing so; somewhere I found a contact phone number, called them and actually got a human being.

I thanked the guy and asked him to pass the appreciation on up the chain. He seemed kind of dumbfounded to be thanked, as if he’d been taking nothing but grief for it all morning, but was very gracious and appreciative himself.

Only because they are scared did they apologize.

One of the tenants of that company was, “Don’t be assholes”, which they broke about eight years ago.

Bing has become a better search engine than Google. I use them both for a living, as it were, and while both suck at refining the results, Bing fetches better original results than Google, at least in my extensive experience with it every single day.

It’s easy to apologize after-the-fact. I worked in PR at MSFT for many years and there’s no way they weren’t fully aware of what they were doing.
