A retired Army officer wrote to a U.S. senator Saturday about his concern that the Department of Homeland Security is preparing to arm itself against the people of the United States.
Retired Capt. Terry Michael Hestilow posted his letter to Sen. John Cornyn, R-Texas, on his Facebook page, noting that Homeland Security has made a number of large ammunition, weapon and light-armored vehicle purchases recently and has refused to answer questions about them.
Hestilow begins by noting the large ammunition, weapon and light armored vehicle purchases recently made by DHS, as well as that agencys refusal to answer any questions regarding those purchases.

And then the U.S. Government will start to be picked off from ambush, by IED, by unexplained "accidents", by home and office fires, one, two or a few at a time. Start with THOSE WHO GIVE THE ORDERS.
Pick your targets NOW, so you've determined the survivable way to get to them when the confiscations start.
Very true, sir.
But, there are lots of guys that were doing that counter-insurgency stuff from 2001 to present day.
And, they are now civilians. They don’t like how things are now. How the government treated them when they were deployed. And what they believed in and continue to believe in. They didn’t go to war to support people like obama and his ilk. The Lord knows that I hope it never comes to that, but I think there a many that do unfortunately. But we shall see.
I cannot speak to Valerie Jarrett’s politics or morals. But she is an American citizen just like you, me, Pelosi and Reid.
Your jumping on my ass was out of line and uncalled for. End.
You assume the populace will side with the “guerrillas”. I doubt it.
I doubt if this guy gets a response from Cornyn.
Sorry to have seemed like I was jumping on you — not intended.
I don’t see an “order” coming down to “round up all the civilians”. Where would they put everyone? But I do believe that if the FBI walked into a small town police department and requested assistance in arresting someone they “say” has illegal weapons, the local cops would jump in with both feet. One, many are “FBI Wanna-bees” and two, they’re on a power trip.
Sometime, sooner or later, they have to get out of the bus.
Just remember to 'lead' your target based on your best guess of altitude and speed.
Your spotter, with a decent pair of binoculars, can give you any corrections needed for your second shot.
Think skeet or trap shooting, with a helper ........................................................................................... FRegards

I’m not assuming anything. The Populations of those countries did support the North Vietnamese,The Viet Cong, The Taliban and the Rest of the enemies we had to deal with.
The only Country where that wasn’t the case turned out to be Iraq.At least until the U.S. forces were prematurely withdrawn. Now they’re heading back toward an Islamic theocracy instead of a dictatorship.
pingh
You are 100% correct. And that’s where the line will be drawn.
If the feds run into a couple of Constitutional Sheriff’s that have been on the news and they can’t get any help, that might empower others to take a stand.
We shall wait and see.
“you people”
perhaps ‘your’ people would enjoy your company more.
Can we post the whole letter here? It’s on Gateway Pundit too. It’s a very good letter.
At first I believed the ammo purchases were an attempt to keep it from the citizens. But the stories of the military leadership being gutted in favor of far left types and those loyal to the Obama convinced me that the military is being geared with an eye to civil unrest and salted with those not squeamish for when the Obama gives the order to fire on US citizens.
A bit far fetched or paranoid? Convince me otherwise..
Perhaps you have purloined a marine 12 volt radar and hooked it up to your transportation?
The gunning has fired on civilians every time it has felt the need. Check Ludlow Massacre, Bonus Army, and others. These were long befor Waco or Ruby Ridge.
Preparing for the financial crisis of 2013 which, according to a talking head at Forbes, “will be worse than 1939”. ?
There are probably 5000 government employees per day retiring on government tax paid lottery style government pensions.
ssapro: I think that everyone should contact their elected representatives and demand an answer as to why so much ammunition is needed.
Oh sure, I'll compose a letter right now, and send it to D.C....I'm sure they'll all be very concerned and jump right on it....gak..
That's the funniest damn thing I've heard in the last 2 hours.
Isn't that the truth? I have an aquaintance who retired after just 20 years with the feds. She's only in her early 50s and quite fit and capable of working many more. Instead, she's bragging about her cushy retirement, and how she can even live/rent in one of the most expensive cities in the world. It makes me sick.
Absolutely!
I also know people who've spent about 20 years as agents of the government in one form or another, retired, and then their wives bitch that $6,000+ per month in retirement for life, for sitting on their butts, just isn't enough.
