This is a prayer thread for Mesta. I've been on the phone with her for hours today/yesterday (my sense of time is getting a little frassled), and we need a great amount of prayer.
Mesta went down hard a few days ago, I was on the phone when it happened and I heard her hit the floor and scream, then a bunch of running, slamming doors and chaos before the line went dead.
It was a couple of days before I was able to get her status and got my proper links to her hospital, and it doesn't look good. If she survives this time, she's going home to a cold house, at the edge of eviction, dragging an oxygen tank. She has a sort of a seal-team medical coverage, but no pension whatsoever. As for now, they're still doing tests, there's a team of doctors working on her and she's in and out of consciousness much of the time.

Prayers for Mesta being sent upward now. Please give her our love. She’s a patriot, and we need every one of them we can get.

I don’t know much about Mestamachine, although I have seen here posting here.
My mom had a hard fall last Thursday and broke her upper left arm clean through. Emergency room time.
Her balance is way off. Yesterday, she was unable to walk toward the end of the day.
I took care of her the last 3 days. My brother has her now. It looks like it is assisted living time, but I am not sure he has arrived there yet.
Getting old sucks.

Thanks for the ping, TOL. Until this thread I was unaware of Mestamachine’s illness. With her cheerful demeanor, I would never have guessed that she was coping with such a serious challenge.
