Just moved to Germany with my AF hubby...to be there for 3 years. We missed a lot of stuff....hijackings to Cuba, riots on college campuses, the death of Robert Kennedy.
We were actually nervous about coming home when the tour was up. :)
Good memories otherwise, though...and good music! :)
It's Tunes For Our Troops!
Thank you! Sometimes it’s hard to keep up and time just zooms by! :)
I like the idea of the Canteen DJ’s coming back with where they were on that date. Good thinking!
ROFL! I hear ya Drumbo & sorry I missed your birthday!
I have an external drive down I really have to see if I can get it fixed at least to transfer.
Hope you had a positive week! *Hugs*
I am looking forward to it!
:-)
Andrew Lloyd-Weber and Gustav Mahler.
In kindergarten....LOL
Love the theme!
Where were you at 12:01 AM August 1, 1981?
Hiya M/L....muscles recovered from the shoveling?:) *Hugs*
Living in La Crescenta, California. Probably asleep, even though it was technically early Saturday morning.
Ed Ames had been part of the Ames Brothers in the Fifties, and he was now acting on Fess Parkers Daniel Boone series on NBC as an Indian due to his high cheekbones. But he never gave up his singing. This came in at #9.
Listen to his breath control as he paces himself on that high A at the end.
Well, maybe I was watching MTV? LOL
Yes...I had to google that stuff! ;-}
Hint - It was sort of a special morning.
NOT watching MTV! LOL! Yeah...I cheated. :)
