Congressman Leonard Lance (R-NJ) has come out and demanded that Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano explain why the Department of Homeland Security has been engaging in huge amounts of purchases of ammunition over the past year. Rep. Lance has called on Congress to get involved in ascertaining DHS stockpiling of ammunition which is enough to wage a 20 year plus war, which has most certainly caused a shortage in the public market.
I think Congress should ask the Department about both of those issues and I would like a full explanation as to why that has been done and I have every confidence that the oversight committee .should ask those questions, said Lance.
Congress has a responsibility to ask Secretary Napolitano as to exactly why these purchases have occurred, added the New Jersey congressman.
Lance said the he was concerned and that he wanted to make sure that Americans continued to live in a country that was based upon freedom and individual rights. He also hoped that DHS would step forward and answer the question candidly.
Congressman Lance is not the only representative in Washington asking Big Sis why she is purchasing large amounts of ammunition. We Are Changes Luke Rudkowski interviewed Congressman Timothy Huelscamp (R-KS) at the 2013 CPAC on his decision to vote against the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) and also asked they also discussed Obamas Disposition Matrix and the large ammunition purchases made by the DHS.

I read that purchasing more of an item than is planned for use in that fiscal year is against procurement regulations/laws. (for commercially available items.)
So wazzup?
... Or an official state dinner at the Occupier’s residence.
>>I’m glad you’ll escape the initial fusillade. Chances are once you’ve used up your usefulness, a bullet to the head for you, comrade.
I know. But I’ll get to watch the Useful Idiots get what they have coming first.
The bullets are to kill us with, unless you believe Obama needs 1.6 billion bullets to hit his next skeet?
You’re not counting the 30 mil illegals but I’m sure they don’t count...
Smells of cloak and dagger BS when it’s not needed. Fake companies i.e. “proprietaries” is a tactic that’s been used by the CIA forever to distance themselves when they are doing something they definitely wouldn’t want to be caught with their hand in the cookie jar for. Much of the time they use “independent contractors” to do their dirty work. So the fake companies and the increased State Department figures I recently saw are now making me scratch my head because CIA usually doesn’t work on domestic oil. Might be something different altogether though.
I live in NJ in an adjoining district and this is the first time I have read where Lance is actually doing something besides going along to get along.
Except at re-election time when we hear his name everywhere.
I put this together about a week ago that expresses my expectations of the trends we are witnessing.
Sorry for the shameless promotion.
Would love to get some feedback.
And how many months has this purchasing been known and ongoing? Now we know how long it takes some of the creeps to wake up.
Well, I overlooked the dogs AND the illegals on this thread.
The Hunt brothers tried that about 30 years ago with silver and they went to jail for it.
Good luck with that.
I live IN the district, and I’m surprised this limp-wristed career politician is raising his voice against ANYTHING.
Very uncharacteristic of the lad.
:: nearly 5 bullets for every man, woman and child in America. ::
Do members of the TSA realize that those 5 bullets/person include them?
I’m just sayin’
Hold off ANY PAYMENT for the ammo until this has been completely and thoroughly investigated. Then MAYBE pay for them or cancel the order if there is no justification for the purchase.
They may shoot at us 10 or more times..... jes part of da brownshirt’s holdin dare 9 sideways.
Maybe “the lad” is eating starch to stiffen his, er, backbone?
We have given up our freedom and billions in tax dollars for less security. Most Americans are frickin' stupid wimps. If we only would abide by the constitution none of these problems would exist.
They don't count, those are our replacements.
That was my take on it, too.
