May the wrath of CO be upon him!

Sheriff Maketa releases statement regarding gun control stance

Historically, any citizen would be allowed to speak if they arrived at the Capitol early and signed up on testimony records. Although sign up sheets were in place and citizens including myself signed up, we were completely disregarded. Minutes after I signed up to testify, I learned a different process would be utilized and testimony was based on three categories: experts, preferred witnesses, and public witnesses. No explanation was provided to define expert or preferred witness. I was told this decision was made by the senate president and the chairperson of the hearing committee. Additionally, experts would have no time constraints and all others would be restricted to three minutes.

As I made my way out of the Capitol, I was shocked at the number of people who attended these hearings. It's estimated the number of people in attendance reached 1,000. I spoke to several and was told they just wanted their voice to be heard.

I am not sharing this because of the outcome of the hearings that day; rather I am sharing this because of the process implemented and the faces of all those citizens that were never permitted to participate in the process. Government is supposed to be by the people, for the people and on this day, they were crushed and kicked to the side. Special interest coalitions and hand picked experts with no relevant expertise trumped our citizens.

And Magpul immediately announced plans to leave the state. I think I’m going to buy some magpul mags.

Link only - Hickenlooper: Large mags can turn killers into killing machines

Repub reps pass magazines around that even touching mags you don't even own can make the person touching the magazines criminals under the new CO law. Dims whine and cry about it. Ha.

From Magpul Facebook page:

Apparently Gov Hickenlooper has announced that he will sign HB 1224 on Wednesday. We were asked for our reaction, and here is what we said:

We have said all along that based on the legal problems and uncertainties in the bill, as well as general principle, we will have no choice but to leave if the Governor signs this into law. We will start our transition out of the state almost immediately, and we will prioritize moving magazine manufacturing operations first. We expect the first PMAGs to be made outside CO within 30 days of the signing, with the rest to follow in phases. We will likely become a multi-state operation as a result of this move, and not all locations have been selected. We have made some initial contacts and evaluated a list of new potential locations for additional manufacturing and the new company headquarters, and we will begin talks with various state representatives in earnest if the Governor indeed signs this legislation. Although we are agile for a company of our size, it is still a significant footprint, and we will perform this move in a manner that is best for the company and our employees.

It is disappointing to us that money and a social agenda from outside the state have apparently penetrated the American West to control our legislature and Governor, but we feel confident that Colorado residents can still take the state back through recalls, ballot initiatives, and the 2014 election to undo these wrongs against responsible Citizens.

Will this prove to be a COM/DEM victory or ultimately a defeat.

Lots of “bitter clingers” in CO.

Am told there are 3 active recall petitions in motion.

*Correction: Sorry posted without enough preview of paste:*

“A Colorado-based magazine manufacturer said it would leave the state if the new restrictions were passed, taking hundreds of jobs with it. Democrats tried to ease the concerns from Magpul Industries, saying the company can still manufacture higher-capacity magazines if they were sold out of state.”

hee hee hee

Yeah, I bet that works.

The company will leave......

...in this politically moderate state...

LOL! Yeah. "moderate". It went for Obama for Pete's sake. There is nothing "moderate" about voting for a Marxist.

I have personally urged our Colorado State legislators to hold the ballot initiative for the 2014 elections.

Let this initiative be the catalyst for ridding Colorado of this liberal plague, at both the State and Federal level.

If I were a little more financially stable, I would write to Magpul and inform them that I would go there & help them pack & drive to a new location.

I would have to pay someone to housesit & take care of the animals.

But I am totally supportive of their decision to leave where they are not welcome.
