The New Mexico Legislature will not send legislation aimed at curbing gun violence to Gov. Susana Martinezs desk, after a last-minute effort to approve a bill aimed at closing the states gun show loophole for background checks was thwarted in the Senate.
Repeated attempts to amend the bill by Sen. George Munoz, D-Gallup, led to several Republican senators speaking until the sessions noon adjournment time arrived.

There will be a lot of pissed off legislators as holding up this bill until adjournment meant less controversial and maybe necessary bills died too. It remains to be seen what other damage was done.
> legislation aimed at curbing gun violence
Commie bias, as always.
It is NOT legislation aimed at curbing “gun violence”, whatever that’s supposed to mean.
It IS legislation aimed at curbing the right of the citizens to keep and bear arms in defense of themselves, their families, and their property, against criminals and tyrants alike.

Yes, that’s what they would like to have us think. The ABQ Journal had an top-of-the-page internet ad yesterday asking readers to call senators to support the bill (HB-77).
Just a bit slanted and trusting of this reporter.
That may be the stated aim, but the real aim is universal registration of gun owners.
Prior to confiscation by law enforcement or Homeland Security at their discretion.
BTW. Congratulations, NM. You’re not as far down the “progressive” road to totalitarianism as my state of CO.
I wonder how many gun shows already are providing the opportunity for background checks. My gun club sponsors two gun shows per year & we require that they go through the regular system. We even provide a table for private sales, although if people want to take their guns outside they can do what they want.
Well. Colorado resident can still go to NM to buy and trade their guns legally.
I’ll trade ya my Ct for your Co? I’ll even throw in Ma. Come on....wadda ya say?
Thank you! I have been preaching this to every American who will listen. When all the dust settles, the bait and switch will happen in the US Senate, and liberal socialist States pushing gun control, in order to look like they are compromising and being reasonable, they will drop their push for an “assault weapons ban” and limits on “magazine” sizes for a National Firearm Registry Data Base. The old propaganda media is out their reporting 80% of Americans support “some kind” of a expanded background check for universal gun purchases!
You hit the nail right on the head! Excellent!
The New World Order doesn’t stand a chance of being properly establish as long as Americans have the 2nd Amendment and the UN is pissed we refuse to give up our rights.
LEFTWING PROGRESSIVE ALLSTATE GEICO |
CONSERVATIVE GRUNDY |
Exactly right! The one world order Nationalist Socialist pure hell and damnation on the socialist from the WH who attended the UN Committee on the Arms Treaty because the socialist in the WH had not done anything to confiscate firearms from Americans.
This is the real reason for the sudden push for “gun control” from the socialist in the WH and those socialist who control the individual State governments, e.g. CA, MA, CO, etc.
Americans have even a lower opinion of the UN than this socialist in the WH, combine the two (2) in a broad push to disarm the Americans people and all hell will break out with a backlash that will remove most if not all socialist currently up for reelection in both the US Senate and House of Representatives.
Stay safe!
YAY!
Thanks for the ping Dave.
Gun owners should send their thanks to the Republicans who filibustered till quitting time to save their Second Amendment rights. Bravo to them!
The system has failed us when the supreme court is allowing these laws to stand and commenting that reasonable laws restricting guns are Ok. According the the thoughts expressed in the federalist papers and the constitution itself, NO law restricting guns in ANY way is appropriate, anything else undermines the intent of the Second Amendment and is therefor illegal. It's scary as hell knowing this could have possibly passed in New Mexico on an up or down vote. It looks like it is only a matter of time before the stars line up politically and we all lose our second amendment rights to this constant onslaught that enjoys media support.
Yippie! Molon Labe! Come and Take It!

The communists lose one. Darth Vader, er, I mean, Dear Leader will NOT be pleased. They are all in this push behind the scenes...except for Plugs, he’s out in the open in Colorado.
