There is also a link posted with the article for other coverarage that we cannot post here.
3 guns were confiscated. No charges were made. This was precipitated by a nurses notes on an admission of the wife to a mental hospital.
It has been reported that most weapons confiscated by this process are destroyed.
Kalifornia.

Cops: We’re here to get your guns.
Woman: Get a search warrant.
Problem solved.

I hope this policy will not lead to unnecessary deaths, but it seems risky. How many gun owners will be reluctant to get mental health help if they know that they could permanently lose their rights to hunt and to defend themselves at the whim of a single socialist nurse?

And school/doctor/pharmacy records will be accessed for each ADHD, ADD pupil. They will be put on the “list” and denied the right to purchase a gun. ( if Kalifornia doesn’t ban them alltogether).

So even if it was your spouse comitted or treated, they seize your weapons, and destroy them...

A nurse’s notes from something his wife said- really? WOW I hope there is at least a competency hearing for him to have a chance to defend himself if he does not agree.

Doesn’t the constitution say no private property can be taken for public use without compensation? Aren’t guns private property? I don’t believe it’s a crime to receive mental health treatment. Even if the state has the right to take guns from people who haven’t committed a crime, doesn’t the state still have to pay for the property that’s taken???

There should have been a shootout. Just taking out 2 of them is a positive.

Living in California is like living in a mental institution. By that fiat, everyone in California should be in jail if they own a gun, a knife or a box cutter ( all of which have been used in horrible crimes. Anyone remember 9/11?)
