Oh, dear. This is probably not the symbolism the White House wanted.
Hours after CIA Director John Brennan took the oath of office—behind closed doors, far away from the press, perhaps befitting his status as America's top spy—the White House took pains to emphasize the symbolism of the ceremony.
“There's one piece of this that I wanted to note for you,” spokesman Josh Earnest told reporters at their daily briefing. “Director Brennan was sworn in with his hand on an original draft of the Constitution that had George Washington's personal handwriting and annotations on it, dating from 1787.”
Earnest said Brennan had asked for a document from the National Archives that would demonstrate the U.S. is a nation of laws.
"Director Brennan told the president that he made the request to the archives because he wanted to reaffirm his commitment to the rule of law as he took the oath of office as director of the CIA,” Earnest said.
The Constitution itself went into effect in 1789. But troublemaking blogger Marcy Wheeler points out that what was missing from the Constitution in 1787 is also quite symbolic: The Bill of Rights, which did not officially go into effect until December 1791 after ratification by states. (Caution: Marcy's post has some strong language.)
That means: No freedom of speech and of the press, no right to bear arms, no Fourth Amendment ban on “unreasonable searches and seizures,” and no right to a jury trial.

Point this out to a liberal obama worshipper and he’ll simply say “That doesn’t mean anything. Brennan’s not a muslim and neither is obama.” Ask him about the head of NASA and he’ll say “Big Deal. NASA doesn’t matter.”
Yep. As a muslim convert, he believes in Sharia law. The bill of rights are the opposite of Sharia.

Well, maybe not. If one has the choice to take the oath on a Bible or a Koran, maybe a copy of the Constitution make a good alternative.

Big deal, Obama swore on a stack of bibles that he would defend the Constitution and immediately attacked the second Amendment!

I don’t think that the Main Stream Media will ever report that Brennan is a Moslem convert. In the movie “Zero Dark Thirty,” a character is portrayed praying in Arabic on a prayer rug (not sure if it was in the White House or the CIA,) but the character was probably inteded to be Brennan.
Excellent point. This only underscores the sheer idiocy of those Republicans who voted to confirm him. The Tea Party needs to get their bull horns out!

let’s see; the CIA does the dirty work for the ruling families (bankster cartels) that are behind the NWO that is instigating wars in the middle east and fomenting the destruction of America and now the US has a Muslim heading the CIA and a Muslim in the WH and generally, Muslims HATE AMERICA, especially our Constitution. It appears that God is really getting the last laugh on the US. He’ll really get a kick out of these two Muslims using all their power of position and our money to destroy as much of America as they can before they are stopped, if they are stopped. We’ve even paid to build underground fortresses to house, feed and keep all these traitors that we have in DC. And they have the nerve to call anyone paranoid or wacko who dares to ask or mention or challenge anything about their anti-American activities. Jesus said it will come to pass and for us to not fear for all of the death and destruction that is coming to world is just growing pains.
