Oscar Pistorius' father Henke has been accused of racism after blaming South Africa's ANC government for failing to tackle crime against white people. ....
'It speaks to the ANC government, look at white crime levels, why protection is so poor in this country, it's an aspect of our society,' Henke Pistorius said.
'You can't rely on the police, not because they are inefficient always but because crime is so rife,' he told the Sunday Telegraph.
But the 26-year-old has quickly 'distanced' himself from his father's comments .
The Olympic athlete's uncle Arnold who is acting a spokesperson for the family said contrary to Mr Pistorius' claim, the family owned firearms 'purely for sport and hunting purposes.'
'Oscar and the rest of the Pistorius family distances itself from the comments. Henke's interview with the newspaper was unapproved by our media liaison team. The comments don't represent the views of Oscar or the rest of the Pistorius family.' ....
The father of three's comments provoked the anger of the ANC who said that it 'rejects with contempt the accusation made by Henke Pistorius (the father to Oscar Pistorius) to a UK newspaper that "the ANC government is not willing to protect white South Africans".
'Not only is this statement devoid of truth, it is also racist. It is sad that he has chosen to politicise a tragic incident that is still fresh in the minds of those affected and the public,' the statement read according to All Africa.
'We welcome the statement of the Pistorius family that distances Oscar and his family from the statement made by Henke Pistorius.
They said 'this latest racist slur is not assisting these families' and the entire issue should be left to the courts.

Still doesn't justify Pistorius Jr.'s behavior or Pistorius Sr.'s rhetoric.
Interesting analogy, given the history of the apartheid Republic.
One of the many ways murders are committed in SA is by simply shooting a driver of a car while it’s stopped/stuck in traffic. One doesn’t have to live on a farm to be targeted. Henke Pistorius has a point that when whites are murdered by blacks, the ANC and world media say/do next to nothing, presumably because it’s payback for apartheid, a trend you may well notice in the U.S. vis a vis slavery. Oscar may well be guilty, but one cannot in good faith blame him for being paranoid.
So, you are seriously trying to compare the Black run, tribal thugocracy to the old South Africa?! Wow, Apartheid is so nasty, that you had trouble getting a job if you were black and like to chop off limbs with machete’s.

South Africa once was a strict moral country, that was very wealthy and productive compared to its neighbors, now it is virtualy destroyed. Nobody is wealthy except the politicians because they are thieves and killers.
Face it or not, play games with words all you want, but in the old South Africa you could go to a bar at night or a movie and not have to be worried about if you would make it home in once piece or not. Now you take your life in your hands if you go out after sundown.
One thing was proven by the trade sanctions and political correctness games played on South Africa. Apartheid was right. The living hell the nation has degenerated into is EXACTLY what Apartheid was holding back.
When the white south africans came and cleared the farm land the blacks were already farming along the river valleys, the traditional way by carrying the water to their crops in jars on their heads. So the land they cleared was the brush land, one gnarly rooted tree at a time. They put in modern drip irrigation systems and hired blacks as laborers. The productivity per acre was many times more than the traditional farms. But when the land was taken from the whites and given out to the black farmers they stripped out the irrigation systems and tried to water the old way. But the farms are too far from the water. And the guy with the parcel with the irrigation wells does not want to maintain or pay to pump all the water for his new dozens of neighbors.
The short of it is from a massive export to imports with little industry still operating, South Africa is a microcosm of what America is going through in the hands of the Communists.
