There is a reason they call it the "History/Hitler" Channel.
So far in the book of Genesis ...
1. No mention of Ishamel being a wild ass of a man raising his hand against all other nations (a kotow to Islam).
2. The story of Lot, Sodom, and the 2 angels. It was presented from the revisionist homosexualist perspective, i.e., the sin of Sodom was inhospitality, not homosexual sex with the 2 angels.
Will watch some more, but certainly looks like the producers chose to take their script from The Queen James Bible, 2012.

The History Channel has an agenda.

Yeah, but does Roma Downey agree with that agenda...so far The Bible is pretty good.

You do have to admit that gang rape is pretty inhospitable.
To: MacNaughton
The producers definitely blocked out the butt boys of Sodom and Gomorrah.
Bad on em.
Hopefully, the story will pick up from there.

Skipped Joseph, one of the most beautiful stories in the Bible.

plus they only mentioned Jacob and Easau. Thought they would have a scene or 2 on them since Jacob become Israel.

Lamb in the thicket, not a ram. Small detail but a detail just the same.

Didn't see this thread, so I started one. Admins can kill that thread.
Quality production so far, but with non-insignificant errors.
Abram and Sari had their names changed to Abraham and Sarah later. This part of the story begins with the Call to Abram to leave his father's land, and already they use their latter names.
Sodom was depicted as evil, but no hint as to the sin the city was known for.
To Isaac, Abraham said, "God will provide 'FOR HIMSELF' a sacrifice". These two words were left out and this looses the important allusion to God's Sacrifice = His Son, His Only Son.
In Gen 22, it says Isaac carried the wood for the sacrifice. In this production, Abraham and Isaac both carry the wood - again missing the allusion to the future Sacrifice by God - ie Isaac carrying the wood as laetr Christ would carry the tree.

It was rather clear that the inhabitants had turned away from God and the show so far has stayed with scripture. Sending Ishmael into the desert should surely get some people thinking. Im sure each of us would have included different aspects and done things a little differently but it had to have been a daunting task to decide what to include and how to structure the show to both keep peoples attention and stay true to scripture at the same time. Overall I think they are doing a good job.

There was one shot where 2 people were kissing and you could not tell for sure if the second person was male or female. Just a flash.

So far, it’s fantastic. The goal is to get people inspired, interested, and get them to pick up a bible themselves. They can read it themselves.

I can almost understand why they would avoid emphasizing the homosexual sin of Sodom here. If you want to raise the ire of the all-powerful “gay” lobby and get the rest of your series possibly banned or blocked before it even gets started, get ‘em P.O.’d right off the bat. We’ll see how it goes after this.

Well, if the History Channel’s version of the Bible isn’t your cup of Tea, you could watch “Fighting Creeping Creationism” on PBS’s Moyers and Company.
Moyers, just another sniveling Commie being funded by the Taxpayers.

I have to get back to my park ranger job, but our pastor (LCMS) said if we watch this, don’t take this as the real deal of Scripture. I’d be very cautious of this production. His wife said it may be the work of the devil in many scenes.
