Following in fellow MSNBC co-host Chris Hayess footsteps, the networks conservative pundit S. E. Cupp has withdrawn from speaking at the Conservative Political Action Conference next month over the issue of same-sex marriage and the exclusion of GOProud. Cupp announced her decision to back out on The Cycle earlier this afternoon.

[I think that tolerance is in the Bible somewhere]
The Bible consistently conveys - throughout - that homosexual acts are a sin, specifically an abomination.
The moral laws of the Old Testament are nowhere abrogated in the New Testament; Christ himself even clarifies:
Matthew 5:17
"Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfil."
Stealing is still a sin, lying is still a sin, homosexual acts are still a sin, etc. Homosexual acts are one of numerous things that are referred to as an "abomination".
You don't have to support gay marriage (I do not) in order to believe in inclusion, true tolerance, and the value of allies.
The Bible consistently exhorts us specifically to NOT make allies with those who live habitually sinful lives in an effort to bolster our success - it consistently tells us that if we need help we are to trust in God and God alone. Those in the Bible who relied on such unholy alliances were never blessed for having done so, but always suffered painful chastisement.

GOProud... totally took over the CPAC convention. They bused in their followers, filled the seats, flooded the hallways, and distracted attention from everything else. Yes, they did. Even Ryan Sorba, a courageous soldier exposing the diabolical homosexual agenda, was shouted down by them - AT A CONSERVATIVE CONVENTION.

I think a lot of these so-called conservatives plan to switch at some point, on some issue. They are like kamikaze missions.

I saw the leader of GOPooch on Red Eye. He seemed real conservative. I get really sick of you purists. We should welcome everyone into the GOP is we are ever going to beat the democrats. The “God hates bestiality” types on Free Republic are sad sick little religious nuts who live in their own little world. You social conservatives will be the death of the party. You just don’t understand the world has changed and you just need to accept it.

To tolerate gays means not persecuting them which we don’t.
Tolerating gays DOES NOT mean we should invite them in and celebrate their depravity.
Gays who keep their mouths shut about their personal preferences are more than welcome to stand with us. Any group that celebrates their preference in their very name puts that first no matter what claims they make to the contrary.

OK, I've had it with the "God hates fags", "If you don't agree with everything I say you're not a social conservative" and "ONLY evangelicals and some Cagtholics can really, really, be conservatives" crap.
It's not FR that you have a problem with, we're just talking about the same Bible that has been around for thousands of years - and in America this was never a problem with most people until quite recently. God does not change over time. Many people have changed their ideas in the past few decades. They turned away from God - having heard Scripture, they rejected it. Those who do not repent will not have the benefit of Christ's work on the cross after they pass on. They may delude themselves that that "are a good person" or give to charity, etc., but all that is vanity in the day of the Lord if one is not saved by the Grace of God.
Winning elections is pointless when it comes to personal salvation.

Well we don’t need a rino at CPAC as Cupp is one. But the question is now on the table... How does she get fired from the Blaze TV as it tries to get on more cable outlets?

The Republican Party has a huge divide between Constitutional Conservatives/Social Conservatives and Constitutional Conservatives/Social Liberals.
It is the Social Issues that Obama & the Democrats are using as wedge issues.
The Social Issues are why the Republican Party hates the Social Conservative T.E.A. Party.
Social Liberals are godless and have no moral grounding.

Sure seems to me that the "moderate" republicans are deliberately coordinating their attacks to coincide with democrat attacks.

Don't suppose to speak for the Word of God if you don't know it.
Well....Bye.

When you force the Government to force Priests/Rabbi/s etc to preform an act against their will, that is not liberty.
Nobody is suggesting this. Just because a type of marriage is legal doesn't mean all clergy must perform those ceremonies. It's legal for Hindus to marry Mormons, and it's also perfectly legal for a Catholic Priest to refuse to perform the marriage. If a same-sex couple can be legally marriage according to the state, they still can't be married in my church (Catholic) and probably not yours either.
To: norton
Never thought I'd say it, but this is my last input to FR; enjoy your own little world folks.
Don't give up like that. There's room for disagreement on many issues -- it's just not FR style to admit that.

They are already going to punish kids who don’t want to share bathrooms (showers?) with the opposite sex in MA.
Punish dissent. Forced coersion.
